"Absolutely great. Gorgeous room and house. Restaurants all around nearby. Right there by the bikepath. I biked from Buffalo to Albany and this place was awesome!"

"Nice rooms and great location however it is misleading as they don’t fix breakfast for you but give you a $20 gift card for a restaurant nearby (and you don’t find this out until you check in). $20 for two people is barely enough for a basic meal, but no extras or a drink and that is limited. When a place is advertised as a bed-and-breakfast you shouldn’t have to walk somewhere to get your breakfast. You would expect that they would fix you a really nice breakfast ( like you see in their photo gallery) at the BnB, but that’s not what you get. Just be aware so you have proper expectations They need to update the website and take off the reviews that talk about what a great breakfast is made there."

"Canal Lamp Inn provided a charming and relaxing respite landing spot for our weekend away. If you enjoy beautiful, old homes that let you imagine you've stepped back in time, you'll love this place! Located in the absolutely delightful heart of the village of Pittsford, New York."

"My friend and I stayed here one night during our Erie Canal Trail bike. It is in a great spot right over the bridge from the trail and from a nice boardwalk-type area of restaurants and shops. Despite being so close to a lot, it was very peaceful and quiet. We stayed here in July 2021 and the stay still seemed to be very much shaped by COVID. We never actually saw the innkeeper(s) - they left nice, clear instructions with our keys on how to find our rooms and there was a lovely little welcome bag in the room. They still are not serving breakfast but provided a $20 gift card to a lovely nearby bakery with a ton of options that is a short walk away. The room and bathroom were nice. They were charming in the typical B&B sense (without the bathroom feeling too dated) and very clean. The one thing to note if you’re staying in the summer is that there isn’t AC, just a fan. It was fine the night we were there since it was reasonably cool but I could see it being uncomfortable on a hot and muggy night. We would definitely recommend the B&B and will be back if we find ourselves in the area again!"
