Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rochester-Victor, an IHG Hotel 7502 Main Street Fishers, Victor, NY 14564

"We are loyal Holiday Inn customers but this trip has made me question security!!!!! After we checked in, we headed up to our room (252) to find our key cards would not work. While fidgeting with them for a min or two we heard noise coming from inside the room. After about 3 minutes a gentleman opens the door and said we could come in (the deadbolt was locked). He said he was fixing the air but did not have tools. The TV was on and the room smelt of his cologne. The bed was laid in and we could smell his cologne on the sheets. Honestly, it was just awkward and weird. I spoke to the front desk where they informed me there was NO work order for the air and their maintenance man has been caught lounging in vacant rooms before. The girl at the front spoke with the manager and nothing was done. Not a follow up for details or to ensure us this would not happen again or even an apology about the unsettling encounter. It seems this is not the first time this has happened. I'm not sure maintenance personal should have key cards to use at their leisure. On a positive note, great breakfast and friendly staff but do not recommend."

"The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly. Has a jacuzzi and pool. Pool water was colder than most pools. Guess the heater went out. Jacuzzi was fine. Rooms were clean and neat. The problem is that housekeeping came into the room and touched personal belongings. Spoke to the front desk. She said she'd speak to the manager, of course not on duty, when I checked out. Just a FYI, put stuff away or be explicit to what they been to do."

"Nice hotel for the price, updated, comfy beds, great amenities and continental breakfast option. They offer tea 24/7 which is a nice added perk. Outdoor seating area is a bonus."

"Do not stay here! The hotel staff is rude and does not welcome children! They closed the pool and weight room, and turned the lights out in the lobby so no one could watch TV. Katie at the desk threatened my 11 year old son that she was going to throw us all out. I have never received such poor hospitality in my life. I would not recommend this hotel. There were slso dead Beatles all over the hallway and dirty dinner trays outside the conference room for a whole day."

"Stayed one night, hotel was ok, location was great. Room had a weird smell (we think it was over or close to the pool downstairs because it smelled like the pool). Beds were comfortable, hotel was pretty quiet. Was happy until the bag we had on the floor was unpacked at home and found to be filled with tiny ants, which are now all over my car. The bag did not have ants in it when we packed it and no other bags were affected but this one that was left on the floor by the desk. Breakfast was good. Toiletries were nice, bathroom was very clean and bright. Would probably stay again, but would request a room nowhere near the pool or above it to avoid the smell."
