"Stayed there during a snowmobile outing. Room was basic but very clean and overall good, parking for sled and truck was also good. Only thing preventing 5 stars was the owner asked me about marijuana when I checked in - it was the weirdest thing...I'm 54 years old and don't think I look like I smoke pot but for some reason he felt like he had to ask. I wouldn't have cared but my 19 year old son was with me and he thought it was odd also. It's about a 10 minute snowmobile drive to the trail near old forge main st, and only a few minutes to the other trail (right out of the parking lot)."
"This little gem of a motel exceeded my every expectation. The owners somehow have managed, in appointing their rooms with the most up-to-date features, to keep a measure of the old-time charm that's sadly missing in this world today. My room was impeccably clean ... and in my professional life in the hotel business, one of my responsibilities was inspecting rooms for cleanliness as well as properly functioning furnishings and equipment. It was impossible to find anything amiss. Quiet, comfortable, clean, and spacious, with a friendly and professional staff that are second to none, I look forward to my next visit in the area just to stay there in peace and comfort. Thank you!"
"Love love love this place. The owners are fantastic people. They went out of their way to help us out being our first time in town. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. We will definitely be staying again if we head back up that way."
"Clean. Cozy. Simple. Nice firm bed. Great spot in town. Would recommend and we're planning on coming back again next time we go mountain biking. No complaints at all. The owners, who are very friendly, even held our giant bike in their office so it didn't take up space in our room."
