"The Child and Adolescent clinic is fabulous! The new supervisors are wonderful and have changed everything for the better. All the staff here are so caring and genuine and empathic and helpful. I am so beyond thankful to work here. I always feel supported. 10/10 would recommend for the kiddos!"

"Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center is comprised of multiple services within one location. As of this writing, Upper Manhattan Mental Health Center (aka UMMHC) is not open to clients at this time. I have been a patient at UMMHC for many years, and I have always been unhappy with the services provided at the location. I am recently unhappy with my therapist and his now (new) supervisor who has yet to return my call. I do not recommend UMMHC for mental health services and would recommend anyone to seek services elsewhere. I cannot write about the community service center itself because I have never used that part of their services. Please do your research before going to any mental health service center or hospital before committing yourself to their services."

"Do not even bother. One, my intake with the psych was unprofessional. She was insensitive and rude. I stated I do not know how someone can make an appointment with someone without inquiring or informing the patient. She replied with a response, " I dont know what to tell you, perhaps find another place." I took the all anyway although I was on my back home. So, I want nothing to do with this clinic, especially if she is being paid off my insurance. Second, RECEPTION. Yesterday, March 14th around 1:30PM a receptionist ( I think she called herself following-up) had called me to re-schedule the psyh eval. I had spoken to a nice lady named Giselle, whomever this lady was, she was rude and unprofessional. She should be fired. I do not know what her attitude is but she needs to see someone if she isnt already. She was truly bothered, immature and petty. I feel she had an attitude already but was truly bothered by me not being able to state a day and time for me to speak with the psych. I have a job. And this Dr. The same I mention above, Garcia is her name does not work fridays. I said I am available on Tuesday then, but she was booked. The receptionist did not even listen and cut me off and then hung up. I could not get her name or ask a follow-up question. I cancelled the session that I was scheduled and spoke to two receptionist for the DR and asked to cancel. Why is the Dr calling me (sounding) concerned? I am done with this unprofessional place. If the Manager ever reads this please re-hire and train staff. They lack tenacity and etiquette. To be in the field of mental health and to be rude is sad. No patience. usually the ladies who call to remind me or nice. When i can answer I usually joke and say, " Yes, for my appointment with so and so got it!" and they laugh and we say have a good day or weekend. I am glad to be done."

"I've been receiving therapy for almost 2 years. Also I'm enrolled in a program with a case manager who is supposed to help me with my appointments or any other matter. I've never met her in person all this time. And every time I have an appointment scheduled to meet her or do something, she cancels. I feel like some sort of racial issue or something against me. And when I call to get a hold of her, it's always an excuse or attending another client. Never had time for me in all this time. They have vouchers for clients in need, and I've never received one and now that I'm waiting to be approved for one, I've been wait listed since March of this year to get it. The only person I can say that she's been profesional and responsable is my therapist. Always on time, reliable and ethical. It should be someone to contact to complaint about this. This is not right."

"I'm very upset with the level of care I have received here. I was given a referral to this psychiatrist from my primary care physician and went through a lot of hoops to even get an appointment. Since then I have had two scheduled phone appointments which have been completely ignored. When I call to see what the problem is, the staff says I will be called shortly, but I never receive a call. All I need is to speak to a physician for a prescription refill, and I am now certain I will have to go without the medication for a time because I cannot get ahold of a single doctor. I am baffled that these people claim to be mental health professionals when they cannot even attend to their patients. It should not be this difficult to get ahold of someone."
