"My recent visit to Rosella left me with mixed feelings about this sushi spot. While the ambiance and the staff were top-notch, there were some aspects that left me questioning the overall value. Let's start with the positives. The staff at Rosella were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Their warmth and hospitality added a pleasant touch to the dining experience, making us feel welcomed. However, I couldn't help but notice the limited sushi menu, which was a bit disappointing for someone who enjoys a diverse selection of sushi options. The offerings seemed quite restricted, and I was hoping for a more extensive array to choose from. Additionally, the portions left me wanting more, both in terms of variety and quantity. The prices seemed a bit steep considering the relatively small portions. While the quality of the sushi was commendable, I couldn't shake the feeling that I didn't get my money's worth. In conclusion, if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere and exceptional service, Rosella is a solid choice. However, if you're a sushi enthusiast expecting a wide variety and normal portions, you might want to explore other options in the area. With a few tweaks to the menu and portion sizes, Rosella could easily elevate its dining experience and garner a higher rating."

"Absolutely number one favorite restaurant in NYC. My boyfriend and I had our first date here and both agreed it was one of the best dining experiences. Our server was wonderful and so kind and attentive. HOWEVER, we did make the mistake of allowing our server to curate the menu and ended up with a $500 bill. Would love to go again but order ourselves and save a few hundred."

"The food was just superb, excellent quality of products and preparation, also original, maybe not your regular sushi but very interesting combination of flavors. Loved everything, and the sake was good too. It’s pricey though, so you gotta be ready for that but at least the experience is good enough that you can justify it :) the see urchin toast is one of the best bites I’ve had in the city!"

"We adored Rosella. We sat at the bar and our server was truly exceptional; he tailor-made a menu for us complete with wine pairings. He was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine. The rolls and sashimi all had a unique touch/ingredient that elevated them above normal sushi, but don’t sleep on the fish sausage slider. Every bite was incredible- this easily broke my NYC top 10 restaurants for both the food and service. 5 stars, no notes."

"Came here with a group of friends after we were able to get a last minute res on a busy Friday night. The outdoor seating is really cute and comfortable. Our server was friendly and helpful. We ordered a couple dishes to split and everything tasted great but the portions are a little small for the price. Dessert was delicious!! I’m glad I tried it, it’s a nice place for a special occasion."
