"Obviously since I was in Rochester for the first time I had to try a garbage plate. This one was huge and really good. Also very reasonably priced—I got two full meals out of it for only $14. The server who took my order was quite helpful for me in deciding my toppings since I was unfamiliar with the options, and everyone was super nice!"
"Really great garbage plates and very vegetarian friendly. This place is the only one I've found where the meatless option for a plate is as intentional as the meat one. My non-vegetarian husband absolutely loves the food here. Plus, they have a very clean restaurant and the staff is nice. All around, this place is a win."
"This is supposed to be the best burger spot in Rochester NY. I was very disappointed over the cost and size of the burgers. First time there and I expected more from the food served. People online are not writing honest reviews. They'll never get my business again. The bun tastes dry and doughy and the burger looked like a flat ironing board with hardly any flavor. I guess they thought we were some local everyday customers. A refund would be nice."
"Great diner selling old-school burgers and fries. Also has chicken sandwiches and onion rings. Walk up to bar to order...no real lines cause some confusion for 1st timers...but the staff are good at asking if everyone has placed their orders. 2 burger plate was spot on. Meat hot sauce (a local staple) was fantastic."
"I hadn't had a Charlie Burger since 1993 when I moved away, today is 2023 and my taste buds were not disappointed. Still one of my all time favs 30yrs later. Seen on the char with all he way... simply amazing. I drove 2 hrs out of my way to get this thing 30yrs later and I am in my happy place for doing so."
