The Bronze

"Went in last night, 12/22/23 Ordered wings for a starter. The wings were good they were meaty and flavorful. they used a bourbon blueberry BBQ and it was sweet and tangy. Speaking of the wings they had a smoked wing special that they ran out of before dinner. How do you run out of a special before dinner on a Friday? About five minutes after the wings came out, out main came out. Definitely not enough to finish an app before dinner. The steak sandwich was kinda a bummer. It was pieces of toasted bread with shaved steak that was more on the fatty side. Additionally the bottom piece of toast was soggy due to just plopping soaked meat onto thin bread so basically I ate a half dry, half wet panini that never touched a sandwich press. I was there around five and the only one in the dining area so there was no excuse for the rush and sloppiness. The glass of port was good,(I wish I could remember what kind.)it was a nice sweet red and my wife enjoyed her burger as a pairing. The front house was nice, attentive and very patient but overshadowed by the lack of care from the kitchen.(just my experience) and the atmosphere is great for a small town on a Friday and that's what I was hoping for. After the hype, it was kind of a bummer I was really looking forward to it."

"I really want this local business to succeed. I also believe in sharing feedback to improve. Pros: the staff are very nice and accommodating. The drinks were good. Cons: the kitchen doesn't seem to communicate with the staff or seem to care about quality of food that leaves the kitchen. French onion soup came out without any cheese or bread because they ran out and without any notice. The cheese is half the dish. my wife's burger came out very rare and she asked for it to be recooked to well done. We had to take it to go because it arrived when everyone was finished with their meal. The polenta with the steak and osso bucco barely had any flavor We had 3 orders of fried chicken that had zero meat on it. It was all bone. It was inedible."

"I wasn't impressed with dining at this resturant. At the time we dined we were the 1st patrons inside. After being seated more came in. The server greeted us and sat us at a small table. Server did not know the specials but came back promptly and told us what they were. I asked what the pasta pamodoro was. What she described was what I did not expect. Pasta swimming in to much oil ( no basil garlic spices tomatoes) coated with parmasean cheese one small chunk of chicken meat along with a few pieces of prosciutto. Although the cocktail was icy cold and delicious served in a skull cup. Entree does not include breads or salad. We ordered a plate of homemade breads which were accompanied with delicious spreads. But for an extra 8.00? Service was slow. My entree came before my husband's which came 4 minutes later. So I didn't feel good eating while he sat with a empty plate.... we had to wait longer for the server to attend to us for a carry out box as we could see from where we were sitting she was conversing outside in the front of the building. Hostess arrived after we were seated and seemed more involved with her school work then greeting guest. Resturant carpet was dirty as well as the huge window inside the resturant. This is why the bronze gets a 3 star review. Sorry"

"Wonderful dinner. Loved the ambience and customer service. Due to not having a chilled bottle of the Pinot we ordered, the owner came out to apologize and gave us a huge upgrade at the same price. He even sat down and chatted with us a bit about the restaurant. Koji Fried Chicken, grilled flatbread and Cacio e Pepe were a HUGE HIT. Apple cinnamon churros were an incredible dessert"

"One of my new favorites in Geneseo, The Bronze offers a good selection of cocktails. I went with the Bee’s Knees while the wife went with a PainKiller. Both were superb. The Kitchen Manager was very polite and courteous, and our server was immaculate. They did an amazing job renovating the space. I love the wallpaper they used. Check it out some time!"
