"Was visiting Legacy Gaming Company which is in the same strip mall to play Magic the gathering. I figured I would stop by Dollar General to grab some cheap pasta and sauce for dinner tonight. I was in line and my hands were full and I was fumbling with the sauce in my hand, so I walked out of line which was fairly long to grab a basket, at that point the cashier who saw me in line told me that I had to remove my bookbag and leave it at the front of the store, I told her I was just in line and and ready to check out out and that I was grabbing a basket because my hands were full. The assumption that I was a thief pissed me off and I left the store right then and there and left the basket with the pasta and sauce at in the basket rack. Rude children who work at your store accusing me of being a thief by telling me that I would have to leave my bag with them, trying to publicly shame me in front of other customers in line, when I was making a purchase, just grabbing a basket. I will be calling the manager to complain, what a terrible experience for what would have been a convenient $6 transaction. In short - Idiot Employee - she knew I was in line, she saw me leave the line and as I was grabbing the basket to so I could easily carry my potential purchases accused me of being a thief and asking that my bag should be left with her. There were $3,100 worth of Magic the gathering cards in my bag."

"This an honest review. They need to get rid of that young heavy set girl in her 20's ? They're not the friendliest people as it is, and every time you check out, that girl is complaining and cursing about how they can shove the job you know where. She's not rude to the customers though, as far as i've ever seen. Just has a terrible attitude problem, in general. The young manager girl is always working hard when i go in there. she's an asset to that store. I highly prefer Family Dollar though. Way better atmosphere. I'll pay 50 extra cents for my otc medicine, just to not have to go to Dollar General and have to listen to that attitude girl."

"The store has a good variety of your basic staples such as food, cleaning supplies, medicines. They offer good value and prices along with national brands. Convenient location and the staff is usually helpful and friendly."
