"The grounds are lovely and for a long holiday, it might be worth it for the trails, golf course and winery. However, for an off season, overnight while traveling, it was way overpriced. The room felt more like a roadside motel, while the price was that of a luxury resort. It being off season, the restuarant was closed and being off the main roads, there was nothing close by."
"I just love this country club. Super laid back area, the spa is super nice with jacuzzis inside the women and mens bathrooms in spa, large heated indoor and large outdoor pool, good workout room, very well maintained golf course and super nice staff. I can't wait to go back!"
"Kingwood is a resort past its prime. Golf course is a good layout (except for hole 17) but needs some TLC. Rooms are 1970s but clean and functional. Service was great and people were great and the price was appropriate. I will go back."
"Truthfully, I feel like the three star rating might be a little generous. The rooms were old, the beds were really uncomfortable, the pillows were concrete, the water pressure was non-existent, walls were very thin, and the TV was garbage. The property is beautiful, nice pickleball courts, nice pools, and a beautiful golf course. Very lovely ice buckets."
"After driving 8 hours and had another 8 to go, and hit a bad storm. This was a nice little tucked away surprise to pull into for a couple hours of sleep. Didn't see it in daylight, but the wildlife at night was beautiful to watch. The check counter gentleman was very nice and fast to get us into a room. The only thing a bit disappointing was the cleanliness of the room, and bathroom. For the price and how beautiful the area was, I would have thought it would have been clean"
