"My husband spent about 5 weeks at the Fort Sanders location. The entire staff were amazing. From PT, OT, Speech, wound care, nursing, NP, CNA, respiratory, administrators, pharmacists, cleaning staff to the cafeteria ladies who came to take food orders. They were so kind to my husband who was completely bed ridden and on a tracheotomy. They went above and beyond in his 24 hour care and because of them, he is off the trach and walking and living life again. A life he almost lost. Thank you to all of you. A shout out to CNA Matt. You really helped out a lot."

"I'm not sure that a 5-star review adequately expresses the sentiment I have for the exceptional staff, and the care I received, while a patient at Select Specialy Hospital, Knoxville. After a lengthy ordeal with chronic lymphedema and cellulitis, the treatment plan along with physical and occupational therapy put me well on the road to recovery and manageability within a month. Staff doctors checked in daily with updates and to monitor progress. Every nurse that I had was qualified and dedicated such as Abbey, Deb, (Nightime) Katie, (Daytime) Katie, and Ryan, who were scheduled more frequently during my stay. It was the same for nursing assistants. All were caring and highly capable such as Meghan, Tracie, MaKayla, Elizabeth, Jessica, Ashley, Kaitlin, Austin, and Matt, and Nancy (my second mother), who again, were scheduled more frequently during my stay. Finally, I can't say enough about my therapists who got me up and moving and helped me gain back my mobility. Monique, Paul, Stephanie, Corey, Madison, and Sharon (love the accent), you're the best! Select Specialty Hospital has new facilities located in the Trustee Tower at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Patient rooms are spacious and accommodating. The entire hospital maintains a sterile environment and is meticulous with promoting patient safety. Nobody wants to be hospitalized, but the staff at Select certainly makes the stay more tolerable. "My husband came to this facility after a severe acquired brain injury. It was our steppingstone to get to rehab. We met so many wonderful people here. All of the therapists were great! The respiratory therapists, the physical therapists, the occupational therapist, the speech therapist. I felt they all really cared about my husband and his recovery. They were very encouraging, even on the hard days, they helped me keep a good outlook. Several fabulous nurses and CNA‘s helped take care of him as well. Many of them became like friends and family. My husband‘s main doctor was not very friendly and had a poor bedside manner. Talked very negatively about my husbands situation right in front of him as if he wasn’t there. But I will not write the review based on my bad experience with him.Other doctors that came in his place were great. Everyone else was wonderful. Even those in management positions went to great efforts to make sure our needs were met and that we were satisfied with the care he was receiving. Overall, if you’re needing some extra time to heal or needing a place as a steppingstone until you’re ready for rehab, I think this is a great place to be."

"Select Specialty Hospital at Fort Sanders has been great during my stay! I had a muscle flap surgery done and they've taken great care of me. Beyond that, the views are great and the abundance of TV channels help break the monotony of being in the hospital. Especially if you're in for an extended period of time. The whole facility has also been renovated, so the negative reviews of the appearance aren't justified. If you ever need excellent care after a hard surgery, this is the place to be. Hands down.
