"1 star because it is impossible to give 0. Most unprofessional company I have dealt with. Have been speaking with them for years on behalf of my M-I-L, all of the sudden they can not speak to me or my spouse and she needs service as she is being released from hospital. She is 96 Years old requires HOSPICE and they will not provide service until MLTC provides 24 hour care. SHP now states we can not act on her behalf. They are not cooperating with hospital SW. Avoid this company like the plague, horrible."
"This insurance deserves 0 stars. They do not care about you or your family member. They are the worst of the worst. They do not help you in any way, shape or form. I 100% agree with the other ppl who have reviewed this insurance company, THEY ARE INEFFICIENT, HEARTLESS, DO NOT SERVE ANY PURPOSE, NOTHING EVER GETS APPROVED OR PAID, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. My mother suffered a stroke August of last year. She is 58 years old and the last 11 months have been a whirlwind of emotions and stress. She originally had emblem health insurance and they were great. My family and I decided that it would be best if I become my mother's aid through CDPAP. There are a lot of agencies and information over load out there about these programs that can be very overwhelming when you have no idea what you are doing, and at the same time dealing with a life changing event. It's like we lost our mother sort to say because she will never be the same person ever again. But that's life, we just deal with the punches, right. We did all the necessary steps to get CDPAP, and had to change insurance. I picked health first because this is the insurance my older aunts have and they were satisfied with the services they are receiving. I learned the hard way that insurances aren't tailored to your needs. They advised me that she was eligible for this long term care plan, senior health partners through health first. They offered all the things my mom needed so to me this was a good choice. Or so I thought. Again these phone calls are very overwhelming if you do not know what you are doing. I would be on the phone for hours. My mother needs more hours with an aid for the weekend (I do CDPAP during the week) and Pt, OC and speech therapy, yet they have completely ignored my mother's doctor's and therapist's recommendation for additional services. The requests get denied without conducting a new assessment. Yesterday they called my mother out of the blue to schedule a nurse assessment while I wasn't there, mind you they have my information and the case worker Milady Matos, use to call quite often in the beginning, but has ghosted us the last couple weeks since we been requesting additional services my mother clearly needs. They schedule the call for today from 2-3 pm. We were supposed to receive a link for a telehealth assessment with a nurse, but we have yet to receive one. So I call them concerned and no one had any information about this VC. Every time they transferred us to a different department during that same call, they had to speak to my mom to verify her information, even though I have filled out the form to make myself an authorized person. The last rep they transferred us to hung up on us. This insurance company should be closed down. If you are looking into long term care programs through Medicaid for yourself or your family member, do not choose health first/ senior health partners. Steer clear from these people who will frustrate you and stress you out until you eventually want to give up. DON'T GIVE UP! change your insurance ASAP. That's exactly what I will be doing next."
"STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE! They are horrible, inefficient, stress inducers, unreliable service, I have ever come across. You make reservations to get canceled on the last minute. My mom had not been able to go to her doctors appt for the last 4 months, causing her to get hospitalized. No matter how far in advance you set up the reservations, they cancel just like that. Even with the dr setting up transportation for their patients they still do not pick up patients. I have so many horrible things I want to say about this service. They endangered my moms health more then once. I don’t understand why this particular service exists. They should be shut down and face penalties! How dare they be a service to the elderly and ill. This company disgusted me. And I plan on pursing complaints and whatever I can do so this place gets investigated for the horrible and endangering service they provide! And don’t ask to speak to a supervisor, because they will leave you on hold and never get back to you. I have been on hold for 2 hours until they finally disconnect me. I have the phone logs to prove it!"
"for the past 10 yrs I have been my mothers Healthcare proxy. she lives with me and I bring her to all of her health appointments. she has dementia and does not speak English. every time I call they are telling me at ember services that they have no one on file. long story short they keep telling me to fax or mail information. this has been done over a dozen times. now she is telling me they cannot receive email cuz there office is located in the Philippines. I am so confused on how insurance companies operate. and on top of that where is my mothers information going?"
"Customer service consists from inhuman, horrific, double-faced people. My mom is 95 y.o. , almost blind, her one leg is not working. They not follow doctor's recommendation for increasing home attendant hours after she was discharge from rehabilitation center. They say one thing and do another, lie all the time, and, finally, didn't pick up the phone at all."
