"I don't have kids, or regularly buy toys, but I look for reasons to visit Zayda's and interact with Wendy, Wayne and their fantastic daughters. Zayda's is not the epitome of a family business but an incredible example of how a small business adds immense value to the community. I first visited Zayda's with my 3 and 4 year old niece and nephew and we were able to browse, touch, have one Lego-related meltdown, and eventually chose our toys without ever feeling rushed or as annoying as we, frankly, were. The selection of toys and gifts is fabulous! All price points and interests are represented and the Zayda's are incredibly kind. They take time to say hello, to engage, and you feel that they truly enjoy being part of the community. To that end, Wendy and Wayne acticely contribute to the magic that happens in a small town when people take time to get to know, and support, each other. There's a large selection of local business cards at the counter, which isn't necessarily uncommon, but Wendy isn't just a local retailer, she supports other businesses herself. She has given me excellent recommendations for a local laundry service as well as a local airport/other driving service. Zayda's has a very cool event-type space and they host movie nights where parents can drop off their kids and head out for a kids-free dinner date. Businesses like Zayda's - and people like the Zayda's - are what make Warwick so magical."
