"NO BED BUGS OR ROACHES! Room was nice, beds were comfortable, shower was clean and worked well, bathroom was a little small, microwave worked, refrigerator worked, TV is a little small, but it works. Fresh towels upon request, A/C worked, door has a good lock on it, coffee maker in the room. All outlets in our room worked. If you get a 2nd floor room in the back of the hotel it has an nice view of the water. 15 minutes from Buckroe beach and other beaches. 40 minutes from Virginia beach. For the location the price was awesome. Anything that is 30 minutes from Virginia beach is almost double the price. The extra 10 minute drive to Virginia beach was worth it for the price drop."

"Quiet and secluded motel that is unremarkable considering the fair price, but definitely has the potential to be so much more. It has what could be an amazing waterview in the back, but its obstructed by a privacy fence and storage trailers. The king room with jacuzzi was clean, but in disrepair. If they made the investment to update and upgrade these rooms, and the back garden, they could really market it for a couples date night / stay-cation / getaway, especially with the base so close. My imagination was running away with me because of all the possibilities, but the reality is that I won't come back here because you get what you pay for..."

"Walking in to check in lobby smelled of some type of food. Asked about possible issues with insects and was assured no problems. As time went on roaches were seen in bathroom entrance area. Made front office aware, invites front office to look. Room smelled of long term smoke(cigarette). Comforters on beds are washed 1x week. Room rate affordable, I believe overpriced due to experience."

"Room was pretty clean and decent for the price. The costumer service is terrible! They held my mother hostage in the parking lot. We stayed a week prior but we were ready to book again with my other sister and her service dog. They said their can only be two people per room although the website says four so my mother was proceeding to look for another place. Cops had to be called as staff surrounded her vehicle over a piece of paper. Very unprofessional."

"If you keep your expectations in line with the price here it's a great spot! We stayed here for two nights while attending a show at Hampton Coliseum. It's about a 8-10 minute drive to there. It's not fancy or modern but for the price it's in a quiet location near the water and overall pretty clean, newer bathroom, fridge and microwave. Can't beat it!"
