Days Inn by Wyndham Hampton Near Coliseum Convention Center

"I’m appalled that a reputable name like “Wyndham” has motels and inns that are like this!! This place is worse than government housing. I feel it is a breading grounds for COVID and other health issues. I stayed here with a family member who thinks this is bad but felt that the staff and motel chain would not do anything about it. That says a LOT! From roaches, to sticky floors, to FILTHY walls and vents, to toilets not being flushable, this makes me question the Wyndham chain!! NO ONE should pay a business to live like this! Can’t imagine someone who is vacationing here would love to come back. I told my family member to NEVER stay here AGAIN!! See the photos attached"

"Wow. Never again. I switched rooms twice (first one smelled like weed, second had stains on the sheets). Finally gave up and stayed in the third room. I was treated to roaches (killed two, missed three), hair on the sheets and in the tub, a mildewed shower curtain, caulk separated from the tub, stains on walls/towels/sheets, a cracked vanity, and trash on the walkway outside my door. I could go on but you get the picture. That was my last stay in this property."

"This place is absolutely dreadful. The only perk is the proximity to the coliseum and convention center. Other than that, I’d recommend avoiding this place at all costs. Here’s just a few things wrong with the room. - Hotel called the day before check in to swap to single King Bed room. Requested non-smoking. When I arrived the room wasn’t ready. I again specified I wanted non-smoking. Waited over an hour for the room because they were going to get me a non-smoking room, and still was given a smoking room and told no others were available. If that was the case, why did I have to wait even longer to check in? - Room absolutely reeks of smoke smell. Was told by reception to just go to the grocery store and buy Glade plugins. - Room is filthy. Spilled a tiny amount of water on the floor and when I wiped it up with a clean paper towel, it was black with dirt and grime. - Bathroom sink handle broke off completely while trying to brush my teeth. Took them several hours (over 7) to replace the sink. After repair, the tech left the counter filthy and left water all over the floor, also didn’t connect the cold water. - Bedding was dingy and stained - Coffee maker was dirty, likely someone didn’t use the included coffee pods and brewed directly into the water reservoir as it was filled with grounds - Furniture is not secured to wall and nearly tipped over when trying to open a drawer to fill extension - Bathroom fan is grimy and sounds like broken screeching machinery whenever you turn it on - First light in room will not stay lit and flickers steadily on and off - Phone in room was disconnected from the wall. When plugged in, it just made static - Sink that was replaced is now leaking. Came back from a day out and found a puddle all over the floor. Was told to just not use the only sink in the room until they could come back and fix it and then given towel to put on the floor to soak up the water - the “free breakfast” was literally just coffee and a bowl filled with Nature’s Valley granola bars."

"The bed was comfortable, and the shower pressure was good. But never ever will I stay there again! My fiancé, and I stayed in the handicap accessible room, and nobody deserves to live like that. Never mind the roaches- the bathroom is just plain unfinished. The floors looked like they hadn’t been mopped in months, the walls were marked, dirty and dented, and there was an unknown substance on the ceiling in the bathroom. There were actual cobwebs in the room! I have attached photos for proof of just how awful this hotel room was. The hotel staff was trying their best- but that wasn’t good enough. The location is good if you’re going to the convention center, but I hope you don’t intend to sleep peacefully through the night. The parking lot seems like a hang out for locals, who have nothing better to do but blare music in their cars and party late into the night. And the hotel staff was unresponsive, and overall the handicap accessibility room did meet ADA accommodations, but I would never wish such living conditions on anybody let alone someone who needs extra help getting around. 1/10, will not return ever again."

"I got bit by several bed bugs on my face and arms in room 315. Stayed for 2 nights for Hampton Homecoming weekend. The room also has roaches. Found a baby roach on my nightstand, the other crawled up the shower curtain while i was showering. Room was ok, bedspreads were stained. Customer service was great at the desk. Good location but only stay if its your last choice."
