"No free breakfast ! Card being charged fees that you have no clue about. Again no free breakfast! Will not be returning and a parking fee ridiculous. I should've went to another hotel Hilton do better. Devin at the desk had excellent customer service. Hotel not worth the price."

"This has to be the worst hotel ever!! Disgusting rooms with rude staff. Customer service agent Erica has a nasty attitude and TRANSFERRED me after telling me she was not going to help me. I asked not to be placed on another 20 minute hold after requesting my final receipt that they still hadent sent after 2 days. I stayed 3 nights and never got my room cleansed. When I asked front desk why was my room skipped they said they had no idea. Room service came and threw a blanket on the bed (literally) and left a pile of dirty sheets and towels on the ground. RUN! DONT STAY HERE. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED"

"Charging things to your room when you use a physical card was ridiculous. My room was clean at least. There's this obsession with all these extra fees and holds on your card for "incidentials." If I use my card to pay my bar tab, why are you charging me a hold on my card for incidentials? While I was there someone else was complaining about it too. My breakfast was also included with my room, but then they charged my card for that too. What if I needed that money to get back home? That was $40.00 ($25 incidential, and $15 breakfast) taken from my card for no reason. A lady I met at the bar stated her room had been canceled, and she had to rebook another room when she arrived, and that someone she knew had booked a room there too and his room was cancelled so he drove back to Richmond and didnt even go to the conference, and when I went to check out someone else was asking for receipt of their canceled room. After all this frustration, I called to speak with someone and some guy talked down to me like I was a little kid. He had no idea of everything I had already dealt with and why I was so aggravated. I would never stay here again. They also wouldn't honor my conference rate for the room for the conference nights because I came down a night early since I was traveling so far and the conference started early in the morning. They couldn't just charge me a regular fee for the one night and the conference rate the next two. Had to pay full price for the whole stay. The breakfast eggs were rubbery but I will say that the made to order breakfast I had was delicious. They also charge you $3.87 to park at the hotel. LOL. To park there. As if the parking lot requires some big maintenance. Like shouldn't that be included in the hotel fee already? Anyways, just sad experience all around. It is in a good location though and near many businesses. But yeah, I'll never stay there again."

"The hotel was okay, we were expecting a little more because of the price. The pool was very small, no breakfast, you have to pay for that. If you stay for 2 days they will not clean ur room and if u want it cleaned u have to call first thing in the morning. Our fist morning staying here we had somone open our door and try to come into our room, the person ran after realizing we were in the room, it wasn't housekeeping. We even called the front desk they said they didn't send anyone up. When physically present the staff are friendly but over the phone they are quite rude. We were charged a $50 deposit and somehow we will supposedly not be getting the full deposit back because they charge for parking??!! I have never had to pay to park at a hotel or Inn!! Even with a $4 parking fee we are not getting back $46. We called to clarify why, because usually u just get ur deposit back and didn't get a solid explanation. At the start we expected a deposit, were never told about a parking fee and whever other fee they must have applied and have never been in a situation where we don't get the full deposit back. In the end we were told we are getting less than $40 back I'm not sure where the rest of the deposit went. We don't usually stay at hotels that cost this much, we treated ourselves because we just got engaged with everything that happened and the outcome, we were not very impressed unfortunately."

"Overall, very unimpressed. My understanding is that the Garden Inns are supposed to be a step up from other hotels. The rooms are outdated, particularly the bathrooms. Shower curtain rod and shower faucet were hanging on for dear life. At the prices they’re asking, I would expect better. They are understaffed but I will say the staff they did have was very good. They did the best they could with what they had. Their breakfast seating area and buffet is poorly designed to handle the capacity of the rooms, particularly if you have a large group. Food quality was adequate but again, I would expect better for the price. Also, be aware that they charge almost $100 for ‘incidentals.’ While this is common practice these days, it’s higher than is typical. It also is not immediately refunded, takes a couple days."
