MISSION BBQ is a patriotic and community-focused restaurant located at 1511 Premium Outlets Boulevard in Norfolk, Virginia. We are on a mission to serve the most authentic and mouth-watering all-American BBQ to those who protect and serve our nation every day. From our young men and women in uniform to our local Police, Firefighters, and First Responders, we aim to give back to those who make our community a better place to live.
Since opening our doors in 2011, we have donated over $25,000,000 to vital charities and have supported numerous fundraisers and service projects. Our General Manager, Jimi, is known for prioritizing the needs of our teammates above his own, embodying the spirit of selflessness and leadership.
At MISSION BBQ, we honor those who serve our country and community, like Tom Glenn who was on the last helicopter to leave Saigon during Operation Frequent Wind in 1975. Join us for a delicious meal and support a great cause at MISSION BBQ.

"I been a few times and always hesitate to review if I don’t feel like I have a full idea how the food is. Service was great, staff is very friendly. Tables and chairs were clean and it was easy to find a place to sit. Even on the busy night I went it was smooth to order and get a table. They have 6 sauces to choose from. Best advice to you, try them one at a time then mix. I mixed the honey and Smokey one together. Pulled pork was good and Mac was very good. If you’re in the mood for BBQ this place is good and not going to break the bank."

I ordered a combination platter of pulled pork, brisket, sausage, and fries, and each item was cooked to perfection. The meats were tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the bbq sauces was simply outstanding. It added a perfect balance of sweetness, smokiness, and spice to every bite. In addition to the amazing food, the staff at Mission BBQ was also incredibly friendly and attentive. They made sure that I had everything I needed and that I was enjoying my meal. "I’ve been here two times now. The food is pretty good. The brisket and all the sauces are tasty! The staff is friendly but seems extremely bored. The place needs some upkeep though. The entire drink station was out of order and the bathrooms were disgusting. The food is tasty though!"
"Great BBQ, love the atmosphere and all the decor. Very military friendly and clean to boot! Service was great and having a slew of sauce choices made the meal an even better experience. Will def be back, thank you for the great meal and awesome service. Almost forgot to mention, entire meal was on $13, good luck finding all that for a similar price. Keep up the great work!"
