"Ordered 2 hot dogs for myself and 1 for someone else. I ate the Boston and Chicago Style dogs. The Chicago Style dog in particular was a standout. While waiting for my order I struck up a conversation with a nice gentleman about the upcoming football games this weekend. All in all, this was an enjoyable experience."

"A small hole in the wall with no parking but a very simple and elegant menu for a snack. On my most recent experience I got the hot Italian sausage which is soft on the inside and had a nice crisp casing. The navy bean soup which was smooth and peppery and a slice of key lime that was sweet and tart with a good crust."

"Small, quaint diner like eatery w/a straight forward menu. The staff was friendly & polite & I was given service w/a smile. They offer 2 styles of hot dogs.. all beef or the snap dog(w/a casing that has a "snap" to it when you bite into it). I got the snap style.. one was the slaw dog w/fritos which was delicious & the Mac & cheese dog which was also delicious. The Mac & cheese was very creamy & went well w/the dog. Overall a nice little place.. highly recommend if ur looking for a personal feel w/ your meal. They have the "good" ice..lol..I had their limeade to wash it down.."

"I recently had the opportunity to stop by Restaurant Doug's Hot Dogs for a quick bite, and I must say it was quite an experience. Located in a small, charming spot with old town vibes, the restaurant has a 1950’s ambiance. The two servers were polite and quick! I ordered two Italian sausages along with a side of chips. While waiting for my order, I couldn't help but notice that the buns were being prepared on the counter for another patron. This raised a slight concern in my mind, wondering if they had done the same with my hot dogs. However, being preoccupied with a phone call, I didn't pay too much attention to it. The Italian sausages themselves were decent, although they seemed to be missing a certain something. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but the flavor didn't quite reach its full potential. Nevertheless, I must admit that I appreciated the fact that I received two sausages instead of one. One was plain, and the other came with sauerkraut, which added a nice tangy twist. However, I would advise the restaurant to go easy on the sauerkraut, as it tended to make the buns moist rather quickly. Alternatively, serving the kraut on the side would be a great solution. Despite these minor drawbacks, I found Restaurant Doug's Hot Dogs to be a charming place to grab a quick bite. It's conveniently located near the beach, making it an ideal stop for those in need of a satisfying meal. The quaint atmosphere, coupled with the friendly servers, adds to the overall appeal of the place. So, if you're looking for a unique hot dog experience with a touch of nostalgia, I would recommend giving this place a try."

"Tried this place for the first time since moving near ocean view last year. Fantastic! I came in today and sat at the bar to dine in. Staff is so friendly and quick. I tried the pork and beef hot dogs described with “snappy skin” and its delicious. I wanted to venture out from my normal cravings and I got the Boston dog and the Mac and cheese dog. The Mac and cheese dog reminds me of my childhood. My dad would put cut hot dogs in my Mac and cheese for dinner sometimes and I wasn’t expecting the Mac and cheese to be perfect and creamy! The Boston dog is delicious. I love everything in it! I highly recommend Doug’s if you’re stopping by the beach or heading towards Hampton it’s worth the stop, The prices are right, the music is good, the service is perfect and the food is delicious!"
