"Absolutely the best shoe repair anywhere. Great guy that did a fantastic job of repairing my wife's wedding shoes, which are 50 years old, so that our daughter can wear them at her wedding. No one else anywhere would even look at them, but he took them in spite of the fact that they would be a lot of work. He did a great job and charged a very reasonable price. "The shop owner turned me away saying it wasn't worth fixing the pair of ladies shoes I had brought in for a resole. The shoes were cheap espadrilles but my wife loved them and they were comfortable so I wanted to have them repaired anyway and was willing to pay. He politely but firmly refused. We talked for a bit and he showed me around his workshop. It is clear from the layout and machines in the back that he is set up for high end leather shoe repair. From our conversation I gathered that business is very slow and the shop is struggling like many other businesses during the pandemic. At the end of our discussion he suggested material that I could buy online and a process to repair the shoes myself. He then gave me his card and told me to call if I had questions. He seems like an honest guy who is a bit blunt. In spite of reviews from others I am inclined to believe he is an honest guy that may have had trouble repairing cheap shoes in the past and just doesn't want the headache. I made it clear that I was willing to pay double the cost of the shoes to have them repaired when I walked in. A dishonest guy in hard times would have taken my money. He did not. If you have expensive shoes and want high quality repairs and workmanship, and can afford it, I'd give him a try."
