"I always like to stop and purchase mint chocolate chip by the half gallon. Usually 2 halves plus a 2 dip waffle cone, chocolate almond chip(my all time favorite) and a scoop of chocolate peanut. Nice place. Kids work hard."
"There is NOTHING negative I can say about Hoffman’s. It is a Carroll County staple. That’s not the only reason I go there, though. The sandwiches are made to order. If you go in enough, it sounds cliché, but you can say, or they will ask, “the usual” and they will know. The soups are amazing. If you ask at the register they will give you a schedule of the soup of the day for the month. The people behind the counters actually care when they ask how have you been. They know my kid’s names and now even my grandson’s names. I haven’t even gotten to the ice cream and/or milkshakes yet. Don’t take my word for it. Try them yourself. You’ll thank me and will be back."
"My first time here and I will definitely be back! I got Bavarian Raspberry in a waffle cone. It was devine! My boyfriend got a scoop of Banana Fudge and a scoop of Cake Batter. Both of those were really good as well. The ice cream was creamy and had great flavor. The staff (who appeared to be all teenagers) were nice. Prices were very reasonable as well. Visit #2: Came back again to try some fall flavors. Both the pumpkin and snickerdoodle were good but a little underwhelming. My boyfriend got the apple pie and it was delicious."
"Back in the good old days, when times were simpler and easier to understand, they made ice cream in this fashion. Also back in those days, they believed in good honest work, great customer service, and making a great product. This is the ethos of this time machine establishment.
