Courthouse Square Apartments

"Don’t move here. The plumbing is trash. This is now the 6th time they have turned off our water (most of the time without notice) to fix a main break which happens seemingly every few months or so. Rent has been climbing significantly every year without reason - no new amenities, no renovations. The office employees do not listen to or address complaints. The water thing just blows my mind. Adding more as of October 2023: Yet again our shower is draining slowly making it very slippery. I just fell in the showery due to this. Again, the plumbing here is embarrassing. Can almost consider taking them to court for falling in the shower secondary to plumbing issues which is their responsibility.their responses to these posts are laughable and they don’t even follow up after the leave a comment here for the public to see. Please don’t move here."

"My family and I lived here for 8 months after moving to MD from VA while we were house hunting. From the beginning, the staff were very kind and helpful. We only had a few maintenance issues, but they were all solved in a timely manner. The email communications from the office were great and we hardly had any mice or insect problems. When we moved out, we asked that our lease be extended by one week because our house wasn't ready to be moved into yet, which they happily gave us. When we moved out, they inspected the apartment and gave us most of our security deposit back (took a little out for carpet cleaning). Overall, a great experience! Also, you can't beat the location!"

"I lived here for two years and at first it was fine, our apartment itself was nice with occasional plumbing issues that were fixed in a timely matter. However management was very unhelpful, we started the process of having my part of the lease swapped out with over 2 months to process. We were consistently ignored by management and we’re only given sparse updates when we would reach out. Only one person could work on our transfer and we were either ignored or told they were out of the office the majority of times we would call. In the end the lease transfer was processed a month and a half after the move out date, and I am being charged utilities for time I was not even living there because they took so long. Also my car was stolen from the parking lot and they completely ignored it."

"My water is not coming out correctly, the closest in my bedroom is dirty, I have holes not patched up , top lock don’t work , my washing machine is molded, my water taste like metal, I only been here for 2 weeks, and they haven’t fixed any of my problems yet, it is close to school but I wouldn’t recommend, they have a field of big rats by the dumpster running around like they pay rent to, the rental office is very unprofessional, they do have two men in there that is very helpful though, other than that I will never move here again and if I could break my lease than I would. They never answer their phones either. First picture is the mold in my washing machine, second picture is the maintenance closet in my bed room,"

"I really wanted to leave a positive review when I left Courthouse after living here for 2 years for college, but after they decided not to give back a penny from our deposit, that turned me sour to my experience living here. Not only did we not get our deposit back, but they told me I OWED them MORE money and had to take it to corporate office myself. Called to ask why and they told me it was for "unrepairable carpet damage". Glad I took pictures on move out day (attached below). Not that they did anything about it. I really liked the management when I first moved in, but everyone seems to be gone now. Finally decided it wasn't worth the fight even with photo proof, but I am extremely disappointed."
