Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott at Dulles Airport

"The younger staff is there is actually very accommodating and respectful. It’s surprisingly the manger Carmen who is no good at costumer service. She’s rude and a liar. We stay here often and will not waste another dime here. She is honestly so rude and lies about the smallest things. Housekeeping knocks on doors well before noon and insist yell Spanish at u after you tell them you do not speak Spanish and will talk to front desk to figure out what the issue is. I have more to say about Carmen but I chose class."

"We had a very long journey and had reserved our room here, just because of the distance to the airport and the deal. But it turned out to be one of the worst reservations I have ever made. First I had been given a room on the first floor, after we moved in, we noticed the bathroom is not clean and the bathtub is broken, don’t know how they are still offering this room to the guests. After complaining I have been offered another room on second floor, we had trouble of moving all our luggage to second floor after very tiring trip. The second room we have been offered turned out to be worst of all, which I never had been to in all of my bookings till date. The toilet bowl had all the s**t inside and the bathroom turned to be not clean at all. After complaining about this, I have been offered another room. It’s been a horrible experience overall. Honest feedback to the management would be, please offer the rooms to the guests if they are 100% clean and sanitized, it’s just unacceptable for people who trust and make bookings to have experienced like this. Absolutely disgusting."

"It is a scam to book a room on the third floor and when you come to the hotel the receptionist wants to put you elsewhere. I had to insist on being given the room I had bargained on. Outside of that, the room was okay, spacious, but lacked a microwave. And you will also receive a sumptuous buffet breakfast."

"Our stay at the Fairfield by Marriott in Dulles was commendable, especially for its cleanliness and the satisfying breakfast options. These aspects truly stood out and made my experience pleasant. However, there was a notable area that could use some attention - the reception service.As a hotel’s guest, we anticipated a warm welcome; instead, the receptionist's demeanor was less than friendly, giving the impression that providing service was a burden. Given being a gold member of Marriott, the accommodation requests were met with negative responses, which could be improved upon. The bathrooms could also benefit from better lighting to enhance the overall guest experience. Despite these points, I still recommend this hotel for its significant merits."

"Throughout my countless stays at this exact Marriott property during the last 18 years, it's location from Dulles airport (one mile), it's courtesy hotel shuttle, and also during the era I have used this Inn in which they successfully had a massive upgrade in facilities, I've never had a bad, average nor indifferent stay. The staff from the front desk and shift management, to housekeeping and the event staff over the years are well drilled, professional and incredibly humanitarian. If there is a hint of an issue, they will rectify it within moments satisfactorily -where both parties benefit- and are put at ease. Besides the ease of location in relation to IAD, I've also used their location when attending concerts and after late nights in my nearby office. You cannot beat the economical price-per-night given everything involved in one's stay considering it's strategic northern Virginia location."
