JCPenney Salon

"My wife asked for a partial highlight for the back of her head. The receipt says "Highlight Partial". The staff member dyed all of her hair an unflattering red. OMG. Terrible !!!!! Today, they did a pretty good job of fixing my wife's hair, as much as possible. It is WAY better, but no where as good as it was prior to yesterday. Kudos for working to fix it. But this was in order to try to correct a disaster."

"I have waited a little over a week before posting any comments about my experience just to try and calm my temper down and control my dissatisfaction… I just moved to Ohio and needed my highlights/roots touched up and had no idea where to go. I thought long and hard about who I would trust and decided that the JC Penny salon in Boardman would be a “safe bet” but boy was I WRONG! My hair typically takes 2-2.5 hrs to highlight. I was at the salon for over 5 hours, and that includes me leaving with totally wet hair. It took so long to foil that we had to rinse out the bottom foils before all of the top foils were even in. I came into the salon with soft manageable hair and left with dry, frizzy hair that I can barely comb through. Most of my roots look untouched, I have leopard spots, which I’m not even sure how that happens with foils, and I have one chunk of hair in the very front that is half blonde and half brown. How does that even happen?!?! In the last 9 days I have spent countless hours and dollars trying to deep condition and repair my damaged and over-processed hair, not to mention cutting over an inch off my length. The salon gives you 2 weeks to come back to fix anything that you don’t like but after how terrible my hair turned out in the first place I see no reason to give them any more of my time. My hair now looks and feels so terrible that I am seriously considering going back to my natural color because I am embarrassed to walk around with my hair the way it currently looks."

"Just got a color and cut by Crystal. It is the best haircut I have ever had. Repeat, ever had!! She cut every curl to perfection. I never leave reviews, but totally had to today because of the amazing haircut I just received. The environment in the salon was welcoming and the employees were kind hearted and made you feel welcome. Crystal took her time and if you have curly hair, please go to her! I'm seriously in tears over this haircut and how amazing I feel and look with this cut."
