"It was very muddy for the lack of recent rain. The trails need better marking and cleaned up. Not well marked or cleaned up, way too many branches/sticks on the trails to distinguish them from the rest of the hardwoods."

"Surprisingly lengthy trails. The lack of signage can really get you lost easily. Great if you want to explore and can keep track of your bearings so you can find your way back. Would be great if trails were somehow marked to make sure you're on the right path. Doesn't have to be fancy."

"A hidden gem. We live quite close to the park and walk there from home. Typically we take our two dogs with us and they love it. Very peaceful to hang by the river and read a book. We hike a few miles to get our dogs some exercise and they love to cool off in the water. Occasionally some jerk wad will leave empty beer cans, fuel canisters, and other misc. camping items, so we have to pack them out and pitch them. But other than that it is very clean. We see deer very often while visiting, and while there are dozens of signs of coyote activity, we have never managed to find one sleeping or roaming around even while off trail adventures. I'd recommend anyone in the area give it a visit, put on your mud boots and check it out. Just please practice the basic level of LNT and dont leave any garbage behind, and if you see some pack it out!"
