"We did a last minute booking with Jay for our 17-year old, who was attending a Bates College soccer camp. Jay made sure that our son was well taken care off and kept us updated via Whatsapp. Our son enjoyed his stay at the Applewood. The location is 5 star (the Inn is close to all that Freeport has to offer). I would give Jay a 7-star for hospitality!"

"My family and I stayed at Applewood Inn whilst we were driving around Maine. Jay and his team really make you feel like you are at home. The service was fantastic, I recommend getting the breakfast it was a large cook up feast that I still think about. I strongly recommend staying here, and it is within walking distance to the shopping in Freeport. Have a relaxing night and then grab some bargains."
"A beautiful and comfortable Inn, where to stay while driving around Maine. Jay is a SUPER host and he made us feel like at home. The rooms were clean and lovely. For breakfast we had the luck to taste their beautiful vegetables (cooked by Jay's father) grown in the backyard...i'm still dreaming about those potatoes, eggs and tomatoes! We brought back to Italy a real nice experience, that's why if will do another roadtrip across Maine, for sure I will stop for a night or two at Applewood INN."
"We stayed one night before an LL Bean weekend event. Jay (owner) was very welcoming and made sure we had anything we needed. We stayed in room 6 which was great. The pillows were huge and fluffy as were the towels. Much better than a chain hotel for a better price! Happy to recommend this place."
