"I have never been to Maine before my trip that started on the 26th of January. I stayed at 2 hotels through my journey in freeport, the hotel 44, and this one. I loved this hotel so much out of any other hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. This place was so quiet and my room was insanely clean. Super easy to checkin and out and the entire staff was beyond friendly. If you're going to Maine for a vacation trip or just business, you cant pass this place up. If I ever go back to Maine this is the only place I will be staying at !!!"

"Bandaids on the fire alarm, bathroom vent was hanging off the wall, shower and curtin dirty, bathroom door got stuck down the bottom every time was closed. told the front desk was assured everything would be cleaned scheduled a time to have the room cleaned and it was never cleaned. One look In side the room and you could have known it wasn't ready. The breakfast food was just bad. first night tractor trailer truck ran its engine all night long and you could hear it in the room liked freeport but this place just felt like a scam."

"Place was disgusting. We booked two nights but only stayed one. The hallway smelled so, so terrible. Room was in disrepair. Toilet seat was only half attached. Exhaust fan was broken. Shower looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in month. I really don't have high standards but this place made you feel like you needed a 40 minute shower (but not till you got home, lol)."

"Pictures look nice but I warn you NOT to stay here EVER. I think the least you can expect from a hotel is safety and cleanliness, but this had neither. The first room they gave us smelled like smoke and air freshener so we requested another room. We were told there were no other rooms, but when we mentioned breathing problems, he gave us a room in the furthest wing. It smelled like marijuana in the hall and the room was not very clean. It was very late, and we decided to stay but were concerned about safety because the outside door didn’t lock and was next to a park and ride lot. When the front desk was informed that the door didn’t lock, he acted like he didn’t know. This was a complete lie. We checked out a day early due to conditions and found out from the person at the desk that the room we were given was never supposed to be rented because IT WAS IN A WING THAT WAS FULL OF HOMELESS PEOPLE WHO THEY CANNOT EVICT. The fact that they knowingly gave us a room they were not supposed to did not seem to be a concern to the staff at checkout. We were told that the people squatting there right now are “really nice.” ANYONE who knew this would not stay here— these people have full access to the entire hotel. This was not a cheap hotel— it cost almost $300 for the first night because it was on the weekend. It is completely inexcusable for any reason. We have stayed at many Choice hotels over the years. I can accept if a hotel is older but is clean and safe. Based on the staff’s response to our concerns, it is very unlikely we would ever stay at one again."
