"This place is beyond charming and the inn keeper is amazing! This was hands-down the highlight of our trip, and I can say with confidence it will be our go-to place to stay in the future. First of all, it's gorgeous! It's the perfect combination of farmhouse and contemporary mixed together. It doesn't lack in character but also doesn't try to hard. Chip and Joanna have nothing on the Orchard House! There is so much attention to detail, both inside and outside, but it's not at all overwhelming. My husband described it as "authentic." It's so very charming. And the inn keeper is so kind! He was there to greet us when we pulled in and then later willing to give us an extensive tour. Our daughter go to play with the dogs, pat the chickens, and explore it all (although truth be told I may have enjoyed it even more!). The indoor decorations are perfect, the landscaping is beautiful, and there is even a hammock and outdoor sitting area. I cannot wait for the cafe to open. We got a sneak peek and it's gorgeous! There is the most charming little gift shop on site as well. The inn is just minutes from downtown Freeport but feels so secluded and private as well. The views are gorgeous. I swear I felt like I was on the set of a Hallmark movie. It's too good to be true. I'm telling you this place is the best! We loved everything about this place. I have no doubt it will book up quickly, so make your reservation early!"

"Bill went above and beyond to accommodate us! The Orchard House is clean and peaceful. We enjoyed staying here and especially appreciated Bradbury Mountain, it’s proximity to Portland, and meeting Bill’s beautiful dogs Bay and Bingo! Thank you!"

"Charming place to stay and easy to find. The house is well decorated and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was good, but very simple. Hard boiled eggs, some fruit options, toast, yogurt and granola. My only complaints would be that this house isn’t too far off the freeway, so when we opened our window we could hear all the cars driving and ended up just closing the window and turning on a fan. And we found 2 dead bugs and 2 alive bugs in our room."

"My wife and I had an incredible stay at the Orchard House & Cafe over this past weekend. We found the place after some extensive research in the area and decided that the drive to Freeport was worth the overall savings we'd get versus staying in Portland in the summer, which is rather expensive. We found the place very easily and it was absolutely charming. The best part? They have a self-check-in policy, one that I had never seen anywhere else before. A few days before your stay you get information sent via text message which includes a pin for the front door, and another for your room. This means that once you arrive, you can get yourself right to your room very easily and with no assistance and without having to go through any paperwork or anything else. It worked flawlessly and made everything absolutely painless. Our room was in what seemed like a former library, with a big cozy king bed, a large bathroom and a decent amount of space. The place is charming and the decor is absolutely on point. Modern and yet cozy. The breakfast buffet in the common area featured plenty of delicious options including cereals, hard boiled eggs, fruit, juice and milk, and a few other snacks. The place is quiet and we very much look forward to returning at some point in the future. I cannot recommend this place enough."

"A must try if you are in Freemont Maine! We've always avoided bed and breakfasts as they are usually Victorian or country but this breaks the mold! It's a stunning recently remodeled country home with light airy homey decor that welcomes you! The owner is great: friendly and attentive to your needs yet low key. Group areas invite you to meet and chat and your room to curl up in the cozy bed and enjoy the peaceful space. Short drive to downtown and all its amenities. You won't regret a reservation here! :)"
