Riverwalk Apartments

"Stay away! One of the low income residents in our building had bed bugs and we were never informed of it. We found out from someone else who lives there after we had already moved out due to other bad living conditions. Luckily we got out just before the bed bugs spread, but our lease was still active and the company still never notified anyone or treated the entire building like they’re suppose to."

"Long story short, do not sign a lease here. There are a couple of nice things about the location, such as being on the Hudson River and within walking to Peebles Island State Park. Those things do not outweigh the problems that have been encountered by not only me but every resident I've spoken to. Issues range from a rotating door of employees in the mgmt office that don't keep or lose records to not following through on their so-called dog waste program. Some of the staff members have been very stand offish and refuse to follow up on things. There are dozens of reasons not to sign here and only a couple of nice things about the location ( keep in mind it's located directly across the river from north Troy, a high violence/ crime area ). The property is owned by Prime Company. Renters Beware of this company, as they own a ton of rental communities in the capital district and surrounding counties and from what I've been told, move their employees from one location to another very frequently. Save yourself some frustration and do a little homework before you put pen to paper."

"Talk about RUDE! I’m not the Karen type but all I can say is WOW! The woman was rude to my wife twice on the phone before we scheduled a time to see the apartment. When we arrived she was rude again and told me I need to move in within 30 days once we see the apartment. A rather weird policy but we agreed and she just kept being combative about committing to the 30 days before we even saw the place. The other reviews tell you everything you need to know about the property management staff. The sad part is we were very nice to her up until she was rude in person. We walked out without even seeing the place. This woman has no reason to be employed in her position if she’s that rude to potential clients. Rude for NO REASON."

"Pros: the maintainence people is nice. Cons: I heard the management team is bad. Now I can assure you all of the comments about management team are true. Today I was using the restroom near the laundary room and I found the toilet is missing a handle so it cannot flush. Therefore I temporaily fixed it by lifting the lid to make it flush so no dirty will remain. The reason why I use their restroom is because the toilet in my room didnt work today. However, I thought I was doing a favor for fixing that toilet but when I went out of the room, a female staff came to me and saying this is under maintainence (but there is no sign on the door when I entered) and asking me: "do you live here?" As someone who lives in their overpriced apartment, I am angry but I didn't mess up with her due to her gender. I just want to say to those who are looking at this review: AVOID this apartment either from a economic perspective or from a level of expectation for respect from the management team."

"Worse place ever especially the front office people Jennifer and Courtney. I have called several times on my dishwasher not working and water backed up in my tubs along with toilets not flushing. I have left several voicemails and I receive NO callbacks. I walked in the office and they make up excuses after excuses and someone will be there. When I left they never saw my friend in the office and was laughing and talking about me behind my back I was told. They are so unprofessional and bad for business. I have had nothing but problems since I moved in and can’t wait to my lease is up. I have never met anyone so rude and fake especially talking about the tenants behind backs. I do not recommend Riverwalk way to anyone. This has been the worse experience ever with customer service and management."
