"As a young adult new to the area, the apartments are nice, yet a little dated. This review would’ve been 5 stars as the residents, assistant managers, and maintenance are amazing here. However, the manager and management company is the exact opposite. No reimbursement when the apartment flooded. Unusually high spikes in the water bill, which they control with no explanation. Lastly, horrible, and vague communication with no sense of urgency when communicating by management when approached about issues. Would rather sent a resident to collections then send them any bill or deal with residual issues. While this was the most reasonable apartment I was able to find, I would’ve paid more if I had known the headache their management would cause. BBB is pursuing action."

My apartment is favorite place for Roches, I complained multiple times in office, but these Roches increasing day by day.Pest control person visit to my apartment but they are good for nothing. Now Runaway bay is takeover by new management , I hope they can help me . My Building number is 113."

"I currently live here now, and I must say it’s so much more they can do and should offer especially given what us tenants pay monthly. The leasing office NEVER!!!! Answer the phone ever. On several occasions I have had to call the office 2 to 3 times that day and too still not get a response which leads me to call back the following business day. My apartment is infested with ants and been having this problem since the day I moved in. I contacted the leasing office to see if they do pest control and they stated that ant are not a part of their pest control and I will have the treated myself. Parking is horrible and just to get a parking space in front of the building you’re paying rent at the leasing office offers reserve parking but it’s $25 extra a month. As a suggestion, they should have designated areas for visitors to park which will free up a lot of space so tenants wouldnt have to pay extra just to park somewhere they’re paying rent at. The leasing office is doing upgrades on apartments for extra charge each month. I don’t recommend doing the upgrades it’s not worth it and you will continue to pay for those upgrades until you terminate your lease with them. The tenant that lived in my apartment before me, did an upgrade with the (vinyl )hardwood floors and I just realized I been charged 30.00 monthly for the previous tenant choices to have the upgrade done. The complex sends a lot of text messages, informing us that our water bill is about to increase, the trash bill is increasing every time you turn around there’s an increase in our monthly utilities it’s always something. The only thing good I can actually say about the apartment complex is that my neighbors are quiet and I don’t have issues with them and their maintenance is fairly good with completing orders in a timely fashion. Would I recommend this apartment complex to any friends or family members NO!"

"Runaway Bay is a great place to live! We have been here for 2 months, and my daughter still says, "it feels like we're on vacation". As a property manager myself, I applaud management and staff for making this a fun, safe, community that is welcoming to all."

"When I first moved in over a year ago I absolutely loved living here! Yes there's some issue with hearing through the walls but I deal with it because you can't sound proof an apt building. There was an awesome lady named miss Paula working in the office when I moved in and I honestly wish she never left! Since she's been gone the office has been on a downward spiral. The staff isn't as friendly unless you're one of their relatives or buddies. There's no longer set hours on Saturday, they just show up when they want. As a tenant I'm allowed to rent the clubhouse. I had a signed contract for set hours on May 14th to use it. However the staff later scheduled something else. I was then told less than 24 hours before my event that I could no longer use it despite my signed contract with date and time as well as payment in full having been rendered. Furthermore I was told if I wanted my clubhouse rental fee returned I could submit a letter in writing and they would "CONSIDER returning it". So I had to cancel in less than 24 hours after having 30 guests who have rearranged their schedules to attend including a few who traveled from other states. Not to mention food that had been purchased and prepared. It's now been 33 days since this has happened. I've contacted corporate several times and my issue still has not been addressed or resolved. Instead I've been given attitude because I contacted corporate. A class on professionalism and honoring contracts is seriously in order."
