Elk Chase Apartments

"First of all at no time do I blame the property Manager at Elk Chase apartments. Crystal who is the property Manager here now is absolutely amazing. From the initial application process she was professional. Very prompt, kind, up front and most of all honest. Crystal holds a tight ship when it comes to this property. Crystal makes sure she does what she says she will do. I've never had any rental, maintenance issues that was not handled. Crystal does what she can to help anyone. The owners of this company I can't say the same. They have defaulting equipment. My hot water heater busted only 3mths after I moved in. My entire apartment flooded and I lost sentimental property. The owners wouldn't allow me no more than 75 dollars a night to a hotel. Which what hotel cost that so I ended up out of my unit for sometime and she only took off 25 a day. When I was out of my unit for almost 2 weeks and after that for like a few weeks I had no hear due to the furnace being defaulted. Never did the owners apologize or even compensate for this. Since I've been here not a year yet. Numerous watermanez have broke and has left the entire property without water. Numerous units hot water heaters have broke which floods the units out. This is so selfish of the owners not to repair what needs to be done properly. But, still Crystal the property Manager has been nothing but human and helpful. When I didn't have heat she let me use heaters. If I have any concerns she is prompt and sincere. Crystal is the best thing here at Elk Chase. I don't know what would happen if she wasn't."

"Unprofessional. After fire in my apartment it’s at the management staff and maintenance staff over four hours to come out. Despite having renters insurance maintenance staff has still not completed all necessary repairs and it’s been over two weeks. The cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen are warped and old they need to be re-face and re-done. Maintenance stated that they only come out for emergencies which would be considered fires or heating and cooling issues. This left my son and myself in a three-bedroom unit with two toilets that did not work for the entire weekend."

"This place has become terrible. I have lived here for years and never had a issue. Now you can not get any results when calling the office.There has been so many new staff in and out of Elk Chase the office needs to replace the door with a revolving door. Nothing is managed in this neighborhood anymore. I have reported many issues to the office in regards to my apt and other concerns many times and nothing is done. Eventually just repairing with my own money and time. The children in the neighborhood run around in front of cars with supervision, hitting cars with their bikes, and throwing their trash every where. Neighborhood has drug dealers and people smoking drugs in their home. Its disgusting, I will NEVER recommend anyone to move here, my neighbor who recently moved lived here for 16 years and left. The neighborhood is out of control. Please look some where else."

"I live here now. The community is clean and quiet. I have 3 children who live with me. They can play outside by themselves without me being scared. My neighbors are ok people. No concern with anyone yet.The maintenance man Joe is fast and on everything. I pretty much pay my rent and stay to myself but i recommend others to move here. I have been here only 3 months and I'm satisfied."

"I loved living in this apartment complex until recently. I think upper management have lost their minds. They fire the manager (a women who was great at her job, who helped me get into my apartment by taking the time to walk me through the process and always treated me with respect) and the reason they gave for firing her was that she completed some paperwork incorrectly. Then when she filed for unemployment they fought it only to have it proven she did NOT mess up on the paperwork and they had no reason to fire her….so what do they do? They ban her from the property (where her daughter lives) just out of spite. AND then a few months later they fire the maintenance man (a man who always went out of his way to help anyone, who lived on site and worked around the clock. You could call him anytime for any problems). The reason they gave for firing him was that there had been some items stolen form apartments and since he and his assistant both had keys and they weren't sure which one did it hey had to fire both. HOWEVER the main maintenance guy was there for 9 years (with NO problems) and the assistant had just been hired and one of the tenants witnessed him shooting up heroin in his car on his break. So it’s pretty obvious who the thief was. Had they done a drug and background test on him BEFORE they gave him keys to everyone’s apartments this wouldn’t have happened! BUT does upper management admit they are wrong? Of course not. Now we have a new manager who doesn’t seem to know what the hell she is doing and NO maintenance man. Just by witnessing how they treat their employees, I don’t feel that this is the best place to live. I want to move out so bad, but I’m stuck here until my lease is up! Moral of my long story? DON’T MOVE HERE! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!"
