Atlantic Hotel

"This past weekend was not our idea of a good experience at Hotel Atlantic. The bed in our room was noted to be a queen size, but in fact was a full-size bed way overdue for a new mattress. Their oil/hydraulic elevator appeared to be overdue for modernization. The restaurant experience was, to put it mildly, horrible. Two different dishes with the same terrible experience. The food served us could barely be rated as acceptably mediocre. Our view was that it was poorly prepared (part of which could have been reheated leftovers) and when we mentioned to the server that we did not believe they even have chef, the server did not deny it. Besides -- no chef worthy of his credentials would have served that mess. The Hotel Atlantic's WEBsite seems to "writing checks" that the hotel and restaurant staff can't cash. A major disappointment."

"We like eating on their all weather side porch. Everything we have tried was very good. Nice Victorian atmosphere and right in downtown Berlin near all the stores. They also have sitting outside in front of the hotel during summer."

"We found this place by accident on a overnight trip to the Eastern Shore. We didn't have a reservation but somehow got the last room that night. This place is like walking back in time. The furnishings are of the time period. Everything is really clean and well kept. There was even a robe in the bath to enjoy!"

"So charming, had drinks in the bar. Taylor the bartender was so nice. Great signature cocktails. Didn't eat there this time but the food looked great. Toured the hotel and a couple of rooms, very nice like stepping back in time. Everyone was so friendly."

"Very nice historic hotel. My room was a little small, bathroom was very small with not many places to put your toiletries but it's fitting with the time period ( adding a shelf over the toilet or something would be a great way to give more places to put stuff). AC was nice and cold but the humidity was a little high, everything felt a little damp. TV reception wasn't the greatest - couldn't get NBC to have a clear picture. Liked the robe that was included. There is a coffee station in the hall with some water which was nice. Didn't have the pleasure of eating in the hotel but it looked great. Wonderful front porch and chairs to sit outside and drink a cocktail. Plenty of places to park. Great location in downtown Berlin - lots of restaurants/shops to walk to. Overall, a great stay if you are okay with smaller rooms that don't have some of the more modern amenities."
