"I visited the surgery yesterday with my cat. The cat has been very sick with ongoing treatment. I asked the Vet a series of questions out of concern for my cats welfare. It was totally unbelievable how he reacted to this. He was extremely aggressive and told me "how dare you ask me such questions" "I have worked for 28 years, I do not need to answer to you". He trivialised the cats condition and continued to shout at me. Just so everybody is aware I asked in his opinion did he think the cat was going to heal? To which he took great offence. Really? His behaviour was absolutely shocking, with rants about how senior he is blah blah. The only thing that has made me feel slightly better is I see how many complaints there are here about him. And also the defensive replies. What a nasty man!"
"There are no words to describe the professionalism, kindness and accuracy that DR. Mihai and his team has sownn to our 1.5 years old boy cat Batman. We found the clinic in a moment of complete desperation after a week of hell. Batman was taken in on the 22nd of January to the emergency services as he couldn't pass urine and looked in so much pain. He was released of pressure for a couple of hours, the next morning we took him to his regular vet. Batman was kept in for a day, got unblocked and sent home in a huge cage with catheter, urine bag and IV tube. But was still blocked... another trip another day the 3d total anesthesia and still no signs of improvement. Our bill reached the roof at that point because of out of hours pay or die situation. When we went as an emergency case one more time, in the clinic's opinion there was nothing left to be done, there where 2 things that has been repeated to us on and on since we 1st visited this clinic, if you cannot afford the payment we will take Batman in our full custody, make him well and re.home him or euthanasia. At one point 3 people tried to convince us to put Batman down. We had 2 visits to DR Mihai's clinic in which he went far and beyond to make Batman well. Checked on us at all times, Batman had surgery where his bladder was cleaned, appropriate diet was given and utterly explained to us as it was the best treatment for him. The costs where very affordable considering the previous clinic. So yes!!! We strongly recommend Pets Clinic and DR Mihai! Take your pet there with no doubt! Batman is now recovering well. DR Mihai still checks on us and tells us to return at any time if in any distress at all as there is a long journey until putting Batman down can even be considered an option!"
"Great vet, good price, lovely receptionist, and managed to heal my sick cat very quickly. However, I do think their defensive reactions to negative Google reviews is really quite surprising and off-putting. Perhaps they were quite stressed during COVID because they were one of the few places accepting new pets and they should be commended for that."
"I have nothing but praise for MihAi and his team. I had to pts my beloved cat and dog last year. Such empathy and understanding I have never got anywhere else. Very fair prices , no long waiting for appointments. I run a cattery and would never go anywhere else. So glad we were recommended First class service at reasonable prices."
"I cannot praise this clinic and Dr. Mihai enough. Our 5 year old Siamese cat Sven was suddenly diagnosed with acute kidney failure and spent 3 nights on IV fluids in Medivet Kensington. On the fourth day, they almost coerced us into having him euthanised, refusing to give him any more treatment (we have insurance so money wasn’t an issue) although his kidney scans were fine and they couldn’t find out what was wrong with him. He was still eating and clearly happy to see us. We said we would take him to the RVC, but they told us they would say the same thing and charge us a lot. When we took Sven home to seek a second opinion, they called RSPCA and told them we were making Sven suffer by prolonging his pain, and the RSPCA people even came to our home, harassing us. We were so scared and desperate. Then a friend of us recommended Dr. Mihai and we took Sven to the Pets Clinic. Dr. Mihai told us he’d do everything in his power to save him and started his IV treatments again. This time the RSPCA and veterinary police started hounding Dr. Mihai by phone, probably at the request of Medivet, asking why he was trying to save an animal that Medivet wanted to put to sleep. Still, Dr. Mihai didn’t give up. He was always reachable by phone, constantly checking how Sven was, while always reminding us to be hopeful but also realistic. After a week of IV treatments Sven started to improve and he’s doing better and better on every check-up now. If Dr. Mihai hadn’t been there for us, Sven would have certainly been dead now. I’d like to thank him from the bottom of my heart, and also the staff at the clinic who were incredibly kind and loving to Sven. At his worst day ever he peed in his carrier bag on our way to the clinic and by the time we went to pick him in the evening they had washed his blankets and everything, which was massively touching. Thank you Dr. Mihai and Pets Clinic ❤️❤️❤️"
