"I went for a viewing and the entire building was being renovated. It was pretty much just a work site on every level so I can't comment on what it looks like but what I will say is that the lady that gave us the tour(Tara) was an absolute diamond. SO friendly and SO welcoming. Regardless of how the interior turns out, it'd be worth staying there just for her. 10/10 for customer service."

"I would never recommend anyone to book this hotel as an overnight stay! It is impossible to get any sleep. The accommodation are right next to a railway, which in itself is not the big problem - if only they had isolated the building. There is no sound insulation at All! You could pretty much sleep outside, so loud is the noise from the train! Really bad place. And there wasn't much help to get from the staff. The only thing we got from talking to them was: well you will get used to the noise! Well that’s a great answer! If you don’t have an other room, what about some refunds then!? People pretty much book these kind of hotels I London, just to get some sleep! When we booked the hotel, there were no information about the noise. And I know for sure, that they know about the noise problem, so it’s really not okay, that they don’t have something about it, in their information when you make a reservation! For if we had known about it, we had not booked the nights here!! The hotel gets one star, but only for the rooms where clean and in good condition."

"I'll start with the pros: the location is good, as it is only a 5-minute walk to the nearest tube and grocery store. The flats are spacious and modern, and amenities are included. The view from the sixth-floor balcony is stunning. Some staff, particularly the security staff that are available after management leaves for the day, are helpful and kind. Cons: the exorbitant cost of rent is ridiculous and definitely not worth it. I've seen more spacious flats in London in better locations that are a fraction of what you will pay here. Additionally, the cost of doing laundry is very expensive; you'll easily spend 7-8 quid each time you do a single load of laundry, especially since the dryers don't work well at all, and you'll have to do at least 2 rounds for your clothes to dry. My main concern is the noise levels in the area and inside the building. Nowhere on the website does it mention that there is an overground train literally right outside your window, so when I arrived to the flat and was shown to my room the first day, I was very surprised that there was a train outside that is frequent and loud. The other thing about living here is that the walls are quite thin, and you can hear the music from your neighbours and the footsteps from people above you if you're not living on the top (fifth) floor. I wish someone had warned me about this beforehand, because when I kindly asked staff to switch rooms several times (literally since the day I moved in), I was met with apathetic, passive responses that proved that they didn't really care or were too lazy to do anything about it. You probably won't get a good night's sleep here, and for the cost of rent, it's better to look elsewhere. I didn't want to leave a negative review but for incoming students, it's only fair and better to understand the full picture of what you're signing up for before you actually arrive here so you're not in for a shock like I was."

"I stayed there for two years, the building and rooms are really well thought and great designed for students. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The studio extra deluxe room is absolutely amazing for the asking price. However, the area being Bethnal Green was slight shady at late hours. Regardless, my experience with the hive has been an absolute pleasure! Definitely recommend this place"

"I am currently staying at the Hive, and it’s the perfect place to live here in London. It’s well located, you can find everything you need in the area. The Tube station and Overground station are both within 5 minutes walk. The crew is awesome, very kind, and always helpful ! Beside that, it is highly secure, a security guard stands at the reception during all nights and the week-ends. They sometimes prepare some parties, where each student is welcome. The rooms are comfy, clean, and modern. Which is a very good point (knowing some places here in London). You get everything you need, a big awesome bed, a kitchen, a fridge, Internet, Facilities (which are very good). The common spaces are great. Coming from another country, I had so many things in my head, I had lots of problems when I first arrived in London, and I was happy that the accommodation wasn’t one, in fact, living here is so good that when I was there, it was as if these problems didn’t even exist. After less than a week, I felt like home. I highly recommend this place, you couldn’t find a better place to stay."
