"It´s a great place with very friendly staff. The beds were comfortable. The room was very large, though below ground level had a window that looked inwards. Not much of an issue, I prefer the larger room over a street view. I would lower half a star because we temporarily had the room above with two kids that played soccer early in the morning (it´s not the kids fault, but the parents that don´t care that there are other guests resting)."

"My previous review dealt exclusively with expedia.com which is completely unaware that not all hotels in London accept the American Express card. As a result of which we had problems when checking in. Fortunately, the hotel employees were able to solve all the problems that arose. The hotel deserves the high rating. Very good location near the center of London. The staff is friendly, helps to solve all the issues that arise. The rooms are clean, good breakfasts. We are very pleased with our choice."

"My wife and I stayed at the Melbourne House Hotel for a week stay and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff is very accommodating, and the rooms size was as expected for London. A couple minute walk to Pimlico station and about a 10 minute walk to Victoria Station. About a 20 minute walk to the Westminster sights. The breakfast was a really nice adder. The fact that the Hotel did not have lifts was not of any concern for us, but it might be for you."
