"It is a lovely pub, but the food was not good… only had a sandwich but it was the thinnest slice of cheese and didn’t even cover the stale bread . We didn’t get asked if the food was ok as I assume they knew it wasn’t. The Guinness could have been nice but was in a dirty glass as you can see in the picture! Hope the food improves as it is a great location"

"We recently had a very comfortable 2 night stay at this pub/hotel. Tfood was excellent and reasonably priced. Our room was well appointed and comfortable, The location was excellent in a quiet and very pretty Village but with easy access to the M25 and surrounding areas."

"We booked the Bedford Arms for Christmas eve and couldn't have been more disappointed. On arrival the pub was quiet, and we were shown to our table in "the restaurant" which is a side room at the back. There was us [3] and one other table and the atmosphere was totally dead, the exact opposite of what you want on Christmas Eve! The food was just ok, nothing amazing, and the side dish of cauliflower cheese was overcooked, watery and didn't appear to have any cheese on it at all. The pub area had filled up whilst we were eating and we seemed to quickly get forgotten about, our Waitress was no where to be seen after our mains were served. The desserts were poor. Apple crumble that comprised of overly sweet apple with a rolled oats/flour topping is not my idea of a nice apple crumble. We had one mouthful and left the rest. We then had to go to the bar to settle the bill as there was no one to be seen in "the restaurant". Totally bizarre. When I brought up my disappointment about the atmosphere to the manager, his response was simply "well its the restaurant"! We were then presented with the full bill including the cauliflower cheese and then told "I guess I can knock off the cauliflower cheese"! I questioned whether he should knock of the crumbles, to which he replied "We have never had a complaint about the crumble" well now you have two! I doubt we will go back, which is a real shame as its a lovely setting, but it needs a decent manager to take it to the next level as its a wasted opportunity in its current hands."

"Haven’t been here for years, came today Tuesday 15.00 are you serving food? Yes! Great little menu, fantastic space, loads of parking, beer in a jug, quick service and lovely liver and bacon. I’ve stayed here before for New Year’s Eve dinner, just as good as I remember!"

"We recently celebrated my mothers 90th birthday here and the outstanding service, care and attention we received completely exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and the venue situated in a stunning location. I highly recommend a visit and shall return soon myself."
