Scriber Lake Park

Visitors can relax on artist Michele Van Slyke's welded steel benches and stools while taking in the peaceful surroundings. In the past, there was a resort at the west end of the lake, built by the Barklay family, which included a dance hall, rental cabins, and a swimming pool. Unfortunately, the lake's size was reduced and water quality compromised when 196th Street SW was widened in 1966. However, the City of Lynnwood purchased the land in 1982 to protect it as a community park.
