"Wonderful and peaceful place to go. Don't have camping equipment, fishing equipment, canoe? No problem, they have everything."
"Hydaway is a beautiful outdoor experience! The lake with the sandy beach is so peaceful. There are many good trails to hike on around the lake and Liberty mountain. They have equipment to check out for the students, such as paddleboards, mountain bikes, canoes, and such. It is near the Liberty University gun range so you do hear the guns from there. There are grills to use, and campsites you can rent where you can have a bonfire. All in all, it's a great place for a relaxing day. Enjoy!"

"This was a kids summer camp but LU also uses it as a recreation area. There’s a beautiful lake and boat rentals are free for LU students."
"I love that I can go to a school that has a place like this. Like what other college has free rentals for hammocks, kayaks, bikes, and zip lines? This is just another thing that makes Liberty awesome. And this place is great for studying too."
