Established over 40 years ago, Yes! Organic Market has been serving the Washington, DC community with a passion for natural living. Originally known as Yes! Food Shop in Georgetown, the store relocated to Cleveland Park in 1988 and was renamed "Yes! Natural Gourmet." It was the first supermarket-style natural foods store in DC, focusing on foods for healthy living rather than nutritional supplements. We have always cared for the environment, offering a 5-cent discount for bringing your own bags long before it became a DC law.
At Yes! Organic Market, we are proud to be a locally owned, family-operated company dedicated to serving the community. Our focus remains on being a neighborhood market, responsive to the needs of the customers we serve. We are committed to sustainability, with efforts such as installing solar panels at our locations and running on green energy at our Brookland store.

"So, I ordered an 12 pound organic turkey on 11/10. They took my money as a deposit with a pickup date of today (11/22). I confirmed this date would be acceptable. They could not find my order, and in fact did not order my turkey, had only 2 left that were natural (way more expensive) 20 lbs each. I do not have cookware big enough for a 20 lb turkey. Hence the reason I ordered a 12 pounder. I have now had to pay more (for natural versus organic) and buy things to brine and cook it in. And it took forever for them to figure out that they had indeed taken my order and money and did not have my ordered turkey. All we got was a “sorry.” I chose them because I wanted to support a small local business. Never again. Completely disorganized and don’t seem to understand the last thing you need before a big holiday is a store screw up when you ordered ahead and gave them the pickup date. Especially when they took my deposit. Done with them."

"This is a small store with a surprisingly wonderful selection. I've found some great organic produce (fresh fruits and vegetables) and good organic dry snacks. I can usually find everything I need, without having to go to a larger store. The service is friendly, too."
"Buying just my chosen amount of spices, grains, nuts, etc., in the bulk section is my favorite thing. These fresh spices bring my cooking to life and rescue me from century-old dead spices. The variety and high quality of their offerings send me to Yes! again and again. Their prices have been better than the local competition and I see Yes! in all kinds of neighborhoods--they support community life."
"Yes! Organic Market at Cleveland Park has been a go-to grocery place for more than a decade. Their prices are often higher (than at Giant, Whole Foods, Safeway, even the next door Streets Market), but...they carry the food brands we like, and they remained open - with a smile and friendly spirit - through many hard times (pandemic, power losses, and snow storms). They know my name, inquire about the health and well-being of family, and the whole team has earned my respect and trust."
