The Madera Canyon Trail is separate from the preserve and is open to the public year-round. Visitors can explore stunning landscapes, spot wildlife such as black bears and mountain lions, and enjoy the dark skies of the Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve. Reservations are required for guided day tours of the preserve, but not for open events.
