"I got my cosmetology license here a little over a year ago. I liked that Ms. Rocío and all of the instructors and staff there REALLY care about their students. Ms. Rocío went above and beyond to teach her students and provide activities that kept students engaged. Mr. Kenny was my instructor and was always open to answering any questions I had. Assignments were thoroughly explained, we had a demo before we tried to do things on our own. My favorite was when we would have beauty pros come in and show us how they did everything from a mens fade to drag makeup. I don't know that I know of another cosmetology school that does that for their students and I have friends who went to Ogle, Aveda or Paul Mitchell. They do not have financial assistance, but this was the most affordable school I found when I was researching where to attend. They also have very flexible payment terms and want you to succeed so they will work with you as long as you advocate for yourself. When it came time to take my tests with TDLR, I felt prepared. We were even able to do mock exam prep at no additional cost to help us feel ready for the real thing. They were only open for classes 3 days a week (Mon-Wed) when I attended in the evenings (5pm-9pm) and had one day (Mon) where the floor was open for clients, so I only wished they were open more days. I finished the program in 18months, I think. The school provided the opportunity to do double shifts when I attended, but I couldn't make that work with my schedule. Overall, my experience at Hairmosa Beauty Academy was great. I learned a lot and met wonderful people along the way. I always felt like things were taught and we were not expected to just read the cosmetology book and instantly know what we were doing. I highly recommend enrolling here if you are interested in pursuing a career in the beauty industry. EDIT: I forgot to mention that the cosmetology courses are available in Spanish too!"

"The best cosmetology school you can go to in the dfw!!! They get you hands on with clients as soon as you start and I was able to learn so fast. I had an excellent experience with all the instructors/staff and was able to create supportive relationships with them. They’re all SO supportive and really believe in you and want to see you succeed as long you’re also putting in the effort. They’re so dedicated to providing the best they can for their students, They’re always sharing career opportunities which I loved. I also appreciated the PSI trainings for my practical exam, they helped a lot and really helped me pass to become licensed. I’m overall very grateful and pleased with the school and everything they had to offer."

I went to cosmetology school back in 2019 and felt completely lost as far as getting someone to help me review the practical exam part. But thankfully i found this beauty school and received great guidance from Rocio.
