"I went here from 1990-1993. The teachers were pretty cool. If anyone had Bobby Pierce or Deborah Louis-Grey consider yourself lucky. They managed to get me to get A's from time to time. Some of the kids in 10th grade were beyond mean though. 12th grade was nice. i got to leave at 1:20 each day. Food science was good too."

"If you can get someone in administration or student services to call you back that would be awesome. Apparently, multi-tasking is not part of their prerequisite for employment. Just trying to get my son registered, as a returning student, and they won't return phone calls. Btw, the receptionist needs to be on paper patrol instead"

"Would not want anyone to come here. All you see is violence. Violence from the people not knowing who to take it out on. Instead of disciplining these people they would rather comfort them, smile at them, and be friends with them. ALL od these things are seen in anything but PREAP and AP classes"

"If I could rate this school in the negatives, I would. After relocating to the area from Oklahoma, I was surprised by the drastic decline in a once great school system. Most of the teachers my student had were rude, unconcerned, and sometimes blatantly disrespectful to my concerns. My student, a 10th grader who has never been in any trouble, was being written up weekly for the most petty infractions. I then found out that he was also being bullied and degraded while members of the coaching staff were either standing by allowing the behavior or even participating. When I brought my issues to the principal, they were met with concern, but never went any further than empty promises. One of my son's teachers even told me herself that she was concerned about the massive drug problems the school was experiencing; advising me to get my son out as soon as I could because she feared he was falling under the influence to fit in. She was one of the only concerned instructors I encountered at this institution. I'm still confused as to why there is such a large problem with drugs, fighting, and theft considering the school is consumed with security and run like a penal institution. When I withdrew my child one of the counselors stated herself that numerous people were pulling their children out of the school due to the same issues; she encouraged me to go to the school board with my complaints. Please do not place your children at this school unless you are prepared to go the distance in monitoring the behaviors of every person your child encounters, in addition to the one you're actually supposed to be monitoring - your child."
