"I might update this at the end of the year but so far I’m not impressed. Smith elementary could have easily had a incident like Frisco ISD did as far as student safety just anyone was enter the school no parents were checked at the door like previous years for meet the teacher. The assistant principal can barley speak English you can’t understand him at all. The new principal comes with no experience and was already letting other teachers tell her what to do she needs to hold her ground set the tone that she is the leader not the older white lady with brown hair shoulder length, who felt she needed to over speak everyone and cut people off. Very unprofessional! They cleaned house and lost amazing teachers maybe 3 staff members left from previous years. There’s no control over students the behavior and bullying i under the rug. Teachers are not babysitters and parents need to be handle accountable for their child’s behavior. No child in elementary school should be scared to come to school because of another child being so dangerous like my child was. Duncanville ISD as a whole only cares about making the news for sports not the bullying or safe of the children at any of the schools especially the high school. I hope more parents take action and start reporting them to TEA. Hold administration accountable and the board. Duncanville ISD will end up getting the same attention Southlake is now that more teachers and parents will start coming forward on the HUGE problems and constant not being heard at a higher level."
