"Parkwood Animal clinic has the most caring staff. I’ve had to have one of my babies put to sleep and they were so wonderful with me and my baby. I’ve also called just asking questions for certain needs and they were so caring and helpful. Cannot recommend them more for your fur-family needs!"

"We are a multiple dog family. Over the course of probably close to 12 years we've owned up to 3 dogs at any given time. All of our dogs stay treated, groomed, and healthy as we can manage. Around Thanksgiving of past year our family was down to one dog and we decided our daughter would benefit from learning how to take care of a puppy. Over the years we have either been referred to or timing has necessitated that we use this clinic for various things. Service has never been the issue, we know the vet staff is competent. But, when we began a search for which facility would provide our new rescue's boosters in preparation for his neutering, Parkwood was one clinic that was able to view his records and get him scheduled, albeit only around 3 days before his deadline for boosters without having to restart vaccines. Due to previous experience, I was not happy about this because I did not want to use their services as the description of my experience below will hopefully explain. But, they were available and we needed to get this done, so we sent over his previous records from the rescue and scheduled the appointment for boosters. 30 minutes before we were to arrive to the appointment. 30 minutes. They call and tell us we should have had his rabies vaccine (the dog just turned 6 months old and we were previously told that was when he would need it and he was scheduled to have it with his surgery....AND Parkwood had his records for weeks before now) a few weeks ago and they wouldn't be able to see him if he didn't have it, but since it's a Saturday and his surgery was scheduled for Monday, also a holiday, we felt like "good luck finding a way to keep this schedule" was their only response until my, usually very calm, wife finally raised her voice and communicated how ridiculous this was. How were they just now doing this? After the lady on the phone "checked with the vet", she came back to the phone and let us know they would go ahead and see him as long as we paid them to do the rabies vaccine today as well. Now, again, this isn't about whether we know they can do the medical work or whether we question their medical judgement. This is about communication and setting expectations. We planned this months in advance with multiple organizations and procedures in mind to allow for this pup's treatment to be done in a timely way that accommodated a whole lot of people's busy schedules. And they decide it's okay to check 30 minutes before the case to basically first say, "you're SOL." Then, only after being given a piece of my wife's mind say, "well, I guess if you pay us". On my way to spend more money than I had anticipated needing to we finally got a response back from the foster organization. They'll do the boosters and vaccines for free just before his surgery. I turned around to go home. My wife called Parkwood to let them know we will never be needing their services again. This has been our consistent experience over several years and this will definitely be why we never go back."

"Our pet was rapidly declining in health and we were able to arrange euthenasia procedure here. The process was very smooth. We were brought to a quiet room where the kids had time to say their goodbyes. The staff and Dr. performing the procedure were very kind. He was taken to get an IV, and then we opted to be with him for his last moments.. Later we received a thoughtful sympathy letter from Dr. Stehouwer. Thank you for making a difficult day a little easier ❤️"

"The wonderful staff and doctor at Parkwood today gave our precious, very sick cat a perfectly peaceful end of life today for us. They were so kind and understanding during this difficult time for us. They allowed us to come right in and our baby was kept comfortable throughout the process. We were able to spend as much time with him as we wanted before we were ready for the medication. They never rushed us and gave us a private room to love on our baby one last time.
