"Dr. Maxey is hands down the best veterinarian we have ever had take care of our pets. Due to frequent moves, we have had many veterinarians, both civilian and military, and she is above them all. She is kind, caring, knowledgeable and is not pushy or judgmental in any way. Every time I have seen her since we moved here, it has been a crisis, but she has a calming presence, amazing bedside manner and provides exceptional care. Everyone should have a Dr. Maxey for their pets."

"I’d give 0 stars if possible. Dr Maxey ran off 3 of my family units. She called me a dog fighter & abused because my dog looks like a bully mix and doesn’t care for nail trims. It appears that she or a tech abused my dog during a drop off mail trim. They do not have equipment to adequately treat large dogs. Maxey also insists cats be sedated prior to visit. No other vet I’ve ever seen or currently see requires this. Two of my sisters had negative experiences there and so did my nephew. Maxey has no people or animal relationship skills. This is NOT Dr Kivney’s standard of care. There are many vets in the local area. I would not recommend this place to my enemy now that Kivney has more or less retired ."

"We are new to Heritage Animal Hospital and Dr. Maxey went above and beyond for the big boy’s checkup today! They gave him spray cheese, hot dog, peanut butter, and sliced cheese. They keep it on hand to ensure “happy visits”. I told them to put the muzzle on because he grunts when others mess with him. Plus, he had to have a full check up. The staff did amazing!!! If you are in the Clear Lake/Friendswood area, I HIGHLY recommend them!"
