Gatlinburg River Inn

"The staff could not have been nicer. Spacious clean rooms. Balcony overlooked the river. Parking was a bit of a mess and the elevator was not functioning..we were on the 4th floor, but there was a ramp. So it was doable."

"We took a chance on staying here fairly last minute for a quick trip. Although the building and lobby were monotonous, we found the room to be fresh and relaxing. The elevator was still out but we utilized both the internal and external stairwells without any issues. Pros: the budget friendly pricing, the river is loud and beautiful, the beds were comfortable and clean, the heater in the bathroom was appreciated, the room heating system was quiet and we could hear the river all night, fridge was cold, ample room for coats and belongings, black out curtains (from mountain coaster lights). Although we didn't use it, there is a trolley stop in front of the hotel. Cons: parking could be an issue if at capacity (we did not pay for deluxe and were asked to park in a separate small gravel area but it was full when we came back in for the night so we parked under our room), turning left towards PF isn't easy in traffic as there is only a flashing light, fyi no hairdryer. There were two small issues that I brought to their attention and they acknowledged and seemed responsive to both. We did not eat breakfast there or use the other amenities. The staff we encountered were all very pleasant. We've always rented cabins but would stay here again!"

"Average place to stay. The elevator was still out when we stayed there and wifi never worked even after multiple trips and calls to the front desk. Also the air conditioner never really worked right . The hot tub and pools were nice and breakfast was good although it was the same everyday."

"The place is what we needed to lay our heads to rest. Liked the deck we had. Quiet. I liked the heater in the bathroom. Missing a long mirror in the rooms. Breakfast was included, not the best, but hey, they could not have served anything too."

"We had a pleasant experience at this hotel. There were some things that could've made it a better stay but we were happy overall! The free breakfast was good, but it's the same food every day. I have dairy restrictions so I had sausage patties and an orange every day. My husband was able to mix his breakfast up between biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, and waffles. They offer cereal, yogurt, toast, and milk as well. The orange juice, apple juice, coffee (hot or cold), and tea were good! The river is on the front side of the hotel so you get the sound of the river with the sound of the traffic. Construction was happening across the river on the road side so I'm not sure how that will effect the noise and views in the future?"
