Blue Wall Preserve
Blue Wall Preserve, located at Pennell Road in Landrum, South Carolina, is a 575-acre park that is part of a larger protected area covering approximately 20,000 acres within the Blue Ridge Escarpment of the Southern Appalachians. Acquired by The Nature Conservancy in 1997, the preserve offers a variety of natural plant communities, including hardwood uplands, pine forests, shrublands, and open-water lakes. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the Southern Blue Ridge Escarpment, with a majestic waterfall along the trails. Designated as an Important Bird Area by the Audubon Society, the Blue Wall Preserve is home to a diverse range of bird species, with 114 different species observed on the preserve.
