Both food and service were excellent and it seemed like only two people running the show. They were also really good with allergies, advising what could be removed to make dishes suitable! “Very tasty and delicious, what I liked more than the food in this shop is how nice and welcoming the owner was he even gave us some turkish tea and turkish delight for free. I had no issue with anything and the food was so nice, I would recommend to go for the lamb cause believe me that meat is well cooked and tindered, the food was flavourful and really good. “Just happened to pass here and smelled the bacon. Decided to pop in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Really nice cooked breakfast with a good portion size. To make it even better, it was really cheap. Feeling hungry and only got a few quid in your pocket. This is the place. When I went there. Lots of families, couples and retired people. Speaks for itself. Excellent.”

We took a one day trip to Bognor Regis on Mother's Day to enjoy time with family and we managed to try the gyros from Apla Souvlaki. In few words, THE BEST GYROS EVER! “Another great place in Southsea to grab a bite to eat! The menu's got an impressively wide variety of choices. We've tried the full English, eggs Florentine, the poached eggs (once with sun-dried tomatoes and feta, and once with mixed seeds), the cypriot eggs and the shakshuka and they've all been excellent. The option to mix fruit juices is a great idea - I'd recommend the apple and ginger is very good if, like us, you like a bit of zing.”

Kristos has transformed the former Shorties venue into a beautiful fresh new venue and I know this place will thrive in Southsea. Lamb shank was absolutely delicious and fell off the bone. Great range of drinks too. Pricing extremely reasonable especially considering the quality of the food.”
