“We bought 2 lattes and a breakfaat bap (sausage, bacon & egg) which was cooked fresh. The owner was polite and friendly and made us aware that we'd have to wait for the food to be cooked. Pleased with everything and it cost less than £9 so very reasonable. Would definitely go here again :-)”

“I’ve lived locally all my life and went for the first time here tonight. I’ve driven past so many times and for some reason feel it looks drab, tired and uninviting. My goodness though this place is underrated. We decided to go and it was absolutely outstanding. Delicious food. Amazing buffet and meats. You’ve got to go! It’s awesome.”

“For a local chippy, it’s convenient and tasty, saves a trip further away. It’s cheaper than the other takeaway’s, Chinese etc. Will always come back for more, for fish and chips, I see other reviews putting this place down, but for me it’s a good place for food. I am not one to complain, but if the food was poor I would state this.”

“We went to the Old Town Grill this evening with the kids and the food was lovely. We ordered Burgers, Chicken wraps, fries, halloumi fries and olive starter. All amazing! Kids were very happy especially with their milkshakes. Staff are very friendly and we will definitely eat there again. Highly recommend! Thank you!”

Great steak cooked to perfection, lovely homemade burger and the churros were delicious! Food portions were a decent size and the food was beautiful presented. “A friend had booked our table here and Turkish would not have been my first choice but went with it. Turkish will now always be my first choice after my recent visit. “If you want a relaxed atmosphere with no frills, basic and rustic food without all the pretentious service of gastro pubs, this was great! As the british pub gets decimated and turned into gastro pubs everywhere, there are rarely many with good atmospheres left. This makes no pretence at being anything other than a marina bar. It serves simple rustic food and fish because it's near the sea. I had a pizza which was very nice and i know you can get lots of types of beer and alcohol. I went on the hottest day of the year and sat outside looking over the marina! Lovely site. Lovely sea smells too. The atmosphere was friendly with a mix of people there - dockyard workers, local couples and people who owned boats. The servers and bar staff were friendly, warm and down to earth without all the pretentions of gastro pub servers! I would definitely recommend walking along the esplanade to this place after a day on southsea beach!”

“What a wonderful bar/restaurant, the food was exceptionally good and the staff were very friendly and polite, the bar is well presented and even the toilets were beautifully clean and warm, the brownies we had for dessert are the best I've ever had, they were warm, dark and not too sweet, I can't wait to visit again.”

“A place to go to for a special occasion. It was very nice inside and the food was really delicious. Lovely unusual food selection. We had tuna Carpaccio which was sensational and grilled aubergine with mushrooms - also with lots of flavour. The staff were very nice and attentive. Be aware even though there is no dress code most people dressed very smart at the restaurant.”

“Popped in for a quick lite bite. Was not disappointed and the service was very good. The decor is very artisan and it has a relaxed atmosphere to it. Some very unusual lights as well. Wish I had taken more photos. Ablutions were downstairs , very clean and tidy. I do not know if there is wheelchair access to these facilities. I would stop to eat and drink here again.”

“This was recommended to us whilst passing a Greene King pub... and I'm glad we took their directions. It's actually a Greene King place itself, but isn't like any normal Greene King pub I've been into. I wanted a good seafood restaurant.. and this was it. The meal is pretty comprehensive with a quick and engaging service - I went for the whole sea bass and loved the crispy skin; coupled with the light crisp Greek salad, that was a great plate. My colleagues remarked they enjoyed their linguine, mixed seafood grill and surf+turf. It's not a cheap place - and they added a service charge else I'd have left a tip - but definitely worth a visit if you're interested in quality seafood.”
