"My best friend got a job here right out of college. So I decided I was going to show my support and get a life insurance policy on January 6, 2023. I faithfully paid 8 months on this policy. On October 2, 2023, I called to cancel that policy. My friend had moved on from this unbelievably toxic, money-focused work environment a couple months prior. So I cancelled. When I called, I was transferred to a local agent named Nick. He told me that since I wouldn't get any money back, that the only thing I had to do was to have my bank block any future payments being taken from Western and Southern. I did this. Then I received notice from Western and Southern requesting the full balance of my year's premium. and then it became clear. THEY WERE CANCELLING MY POLICY FOR NON-PAYMENT INSTEAD OF CANCELLING IT PER CUSTOMER REQUEST. This is just one of the many many ways they screw over their clients and their employees. AVOID THIS COMPANY."
