Fort Miamis
Fort Miamis is a historic park and tourist attraction located at 600 Michigan Avenue in Maumee, Ohio, United States. This extraordinary Metropark consists of three sites: Fallen Timbers Battlefield, Fallen Timbers Monument, and Fort Miamis National Historic Site. Visitors can explore the 1.5 mile Northwest Territory Trail, which loops through wooded areas and over a ravine where the 1794 Battle of Fallen Timbers took place. Isaac R. Ludwig Historical Mill
The Isaac R. Ludwig Historical Mill is located at 13496-13600 South River Road in Grand Rapids, Ohio. This institution offers a glimpse into the history of canal travel along the Miami and Erie Canal, complete with Lock #44. Visitors can explore a replica of an authentic canal boat, The Volunteer, and the historic Isaac Ludwig Mill, which preserve features of mid-1800s Ohio. The Providence Dam, located nearby, was originally built to keep the canal filled with water. The site is open from May through October and offers access for fishing, kayaking, picnicking, and hiking along the Towpath Trail. The facility also includes indoor and picnic facilities, a playground, and historic WPA buildings and bridges.
