“What a great outside terrace, over looking the river. Perfect for a sunny afternoon. The food was really good too. The best chicken burger I have had in a long time. Service via the app was very quick and all staff were really friendly and helpful. I accidentally left my phone and it was picked up by staff and returned to me swiftly. We will be back soon”

“My friend & I had a table booked, & we were soon shown to our table. We were not rushed to order drinks or food, but once ordered, both arrived quite promptly. We each ordered a jacket potato, which was a good size, mine came with some butter, & a pot of grated cheese, & a pot of coleslaw. It was very tasty, & just enough to satisfy the hunger pangs.!”

“This Weatherspoons is massive. So many places to sit and very lively on a Saturday night. One of the best weatherspoons I've been to. The food came out fast, was warm and filling. The lady who served us was so attentive. They have some good vegan options.”

Initially got our starter wrong but corrected it within minutes and gave us the incorrect starter on the house, cannot fault the service or the staff and will definitely be returning with family again soon! “Best Indian restaurant for miles. Ilkeston is lucky, for a small, unspectacular town in Derbyshire it has a couple of really good Indian restaurants where you can get a great meal. But Jhakhas is in a league of its own. There is one restaurant close by which has long been a staple of Ilkeston, but every dish looks the same brown mush and tastes identical, but with varying levels of spice. - Jhakhas on the other hand couldn't be more different. You can almost see all the individual elements and ingredients in each dish. They all look so fresh and vibrant, you can tell they've been made to order. Even the spiciest dishes have wholesome flavours punching through. The selection of dishes is good, you get all your typical dishes, along with a selection of specials and recommendations that I've not found anywhere else. On my three visits, it's always been fairly quiet, which is a huge shame, while I don't like it overwhelmingly busy, I would hate it to be one of those excellent places that ends up closing because its not on the main high street and doesn't get enough customers. The staff have always been quick to help, and serve. Always friendly and polite without being overbearing. I would urge everybody who fancies going out for a nice curry to give it a try, just take a chance, just once, because you'll certainly go back again and again. Oh, and the Masala Chips are a must.”

“Small lil micropub with very friendly and cheerful staff, a good choice of beers and spirits to choose from, with small bites to go alongside, and a variety of board games to play while you’re there. They’re located right on Haydn Road, with shops and restaurants beside it. A bit of catchy tunes in the background as well. In short, a fantastic place to be at, with some good vibes and friendly faces - a welcome addition to Sherwood; would definitely be returning!”

Yes the food/drink is a bit pricey for the location however, the food is delicious! Could do with knocking a few quid off the cocktail prices though. I would still recommend going here though as it's definitely one of the nicer, if not the nicest, in the area.”
